- Welcome to the Invokation Akademy Review Session, where I go over all the changes to GITCG from the latest update, and give you my first impressions to get you better prepared for the new metagame.
Version 4.5 brings us 4 new characters: Kirara, Charlotte, Neuvillette, and Electro Cicin Mage. In this video, I'll go over each of them in detail, going in depth on their mechanics, tips and tricks to keep in mind when playing with them, while also providing you some suggested decklists to try! The new characters introduce some unique mechanics, but that also means they have a few complex interactions to be aware of - so make sure you're fully prepared to face them!

What is Genius Invokation?

Genius Invokation TCG (GITCG) is a card game inside Genshin Impact! To unlock this game mode, you will need to reach AR32 in Genshin and complete the associated quest. The entire game is free to play. - Hry
Quick correction - apparently the wording on Electro Cicin burst is very confusing, and it will in fact provide 4 shields if you have 4 Cicin stacks - not 3 as mentioned in the vid.
Cicins are already capped at 3 usages so I'm not sure why they needed to word it to say that the added shields is also capped at 3 - really threw me off. Thanks to @mikrikbe for pointing it out
You get 1 shield stack baseline.
You get 1~3 shield stacks from Cicin stacks.
That's 1~4 theoretical shield value.
This is why it's capped.
i would like a video about common mistakes that new tcg players do. For example:
1) killing opponent allowing them to swap for free on burst ready character and killing your character along the way with others (fully charged Keqing for example)
2) using unnecessary quick swap just for the sake of this
3) using ultimates when they are ready and not when you need them, wasting the damage or utility
4) gearing every single character with artifacts weapons and talent cards even if unnecessary
and so on

5) Being afraid to sacrifice characters when it would be beneficial, or healing unimportant characters (like 3 hp raiden that already did burst and won't be used with 99% chance) This is the most common one i think.
I see this so much… i see like people protect raiden so often
One pretty niche but interesting interaction with Neuvilette is that his Water Droplents still stay after he's defeated.
And so, he could potentially be used in decks that utilize the trap-card-egg, especially since he can self heal a bit

We now have 4 Fontaine characters, so my guess is with the next batch we're likely to get Fontaine resonance, probably playing into the whole HP changing thing they have going on in the main game
Yeah all the Fontaine characters do have that common theme so far, so it would make sense to play into that. Definitely looking forward to it
Maybe it could be something like, all characters lose 1 hp and then gain 2 hp at the end of the turn, could be like a fluctuating version of hydro resonance since Fontaine is the nation of hydro
Cicin mage has more permanent content than Xinyan you hate to see it

I’ve actually been enjoying Neuvilette, Charlotte, Layla. Gets plenty of freezes off while being able to use neuvi as a pseudo hypercarry.
Neuv Charlotte are a strong pairing for sure, it's possible people haven't quite found the right build for it yet, but pretty scary
they dropped the ball with magic balancing but the characters are cool.

I've had some success in the Arena with Electro Cicin - Kirara - Barbara stall. I haven't been using the Cicin talent as the games have been long enough to guarantee full value from her skill. However, I have been using Kirara's talent because I'm doing a lot of switching and it helps to keep the costs low, especially when run alongside Barbara's talent.
Very interesting idea! Definitely if the game goes long you should be able to get by without the Talent, and a stall deck doesn't need the electro app faster

I'm really enjoying the Electro Cicin mage deck that you gave. I've been unluckier than I would like in rolling the talent card round 1 but once the setup is finished the damage ramps up fast. She might be my favourite of the new cards, although I've only tried her and Neuvillette. I'm not a fan of prepare skills which are a major part of Neuvillette's kit so I don't know how I feel about him, although he does look powerful.
By the way, I have one question (not entirely relevant to this video). In a few of your videos I've seen you describe a deck as "midrange". What does that term mean in a TCG context? I understand most other terms but I'm confused on that one. Is it describing a team that's a balance between stall and offence/combo?
Welcome back and thank you!! Yeah even if you full redraw for talent or lair you'll only get it about 80% of the time, and it makes a huge difference when you have it vs not. Definitely is the most competitively playable out of the chars I think
a kirara deck i’m really loving to use, is Keqing, Kirara, and Yae Miko! Keqing E -> Kirara E -> R2, Keqing fast action swap card (from lightning stiletto) to get a guaranteed quicken! I use golden troupe on Yae Miko and once Keqing dies, I switch to Yae Miko to start doing some damage to finish up the game! I included the talent cards, but they’re not really necessary so that’s good.
Kirara Keqing is a fun combo, but if you're playing with Yae she really wants you to start on her first! I'd maybe consider switching to a Dendro 3rd character. Adding Dendro Res too can help add even more surprise damage off of Keqing by giving you +2 unexpectedly

@@lvl73epicgamergurl hmm they are likely to be your finisher, so honestly Terrorshroom is one of the better ones. Alhaitham also works, and then you have all sword chars so you can play around with weapons too which could be cool

I tried to play electro cicin mage-kirara-fatui pyro agent and kirara-keqing-seahorse
In first one for cicin mage I kept one emblem artifact just in case of surprise burst and in second team i found fav with weapon switch card very strong and unpredictable
That second list looks really fun! I like Kirara-Keqing combo a lot, but the only awkward thing both kind of want you to start on them but then you also want to end on Seahorse.
Though if there was ever a deck to play Four Leaf Sigil that might be it hahaha
Really liking the Charlotte SC, I love Lynette as an Anchor, it just feels when you really in 1v1 situation with her, she always comes on top.

Been using a gilded deck with Neuvillette, Kirara and Thoma. The combo can be a little hard to pull off but when it works it's really strong.
Could be promising, plenty of shields there for Neuvillette which can help keep him protected on top of heals. Glad that's been working out!

I like how electro cicin can potentially reinvent classic nahida hyperbloom deck. Neat! Overall these new cards def add new playstyles and im all for it!
Yep, and it's pretty strong too! Unfortunately you're at the mercy of gambling for the talent to make it truly shine, but when it works it's very powerful
I tried Mona/kiara/lisa, not quite sure what the issue was (it was probably cards, the cost reduction strat was was not doing great) but the deck seemed a little slow without the damage or the sustain to work well, looking forward to seeing if I can make the others work better
Yeah Mona and Kirara both are both mostly utility characters so having them together can be very slow unless your last character can output a lot of damage which Lisa can't unless you have a deck dedicated to waiting for her passive.
Definitely give the decks a try!

Been using Charlotte/Childe/Barbara with a great success freezing opponents while having a lot of healing. Highly recommend trying😊
Definitely seen that around. I think I still prefer Layla as having a single hit that can threaten freeze is very powerful, but both can work!

Question: Is there a way to track how the Fortress card will activate? Why is it that mine has a stack 2 but still able to shatter the opponents card? At this rate, it can even be better than the Arcane card due to its unpredictability and extensive use.
So the stacks won't let you tell if it's active the current turn or not - as soon as it activates at the start of a round it resets back to 0, and attaches the status to your opponent.
If it was at 2, that means you probably already took dmg or healed and its counting up for next turn.
The way you tell is to look for the V looking status in red under your opponents character

No it caps at 3 - if you have 3 Cicins you still only get 3 shields!

@@blepthecatI just checked and just to clarify - It's 1 + 0-3 shield points for each cicin left usage so max of 4 shield can be created with one burst (one initial and 3 with cicins)
@@mikrikbeOk nevermind I just tested - the wording is just super confusing. I'm not sure why they added the extra text when Cicins are already capped at 3 usages so the added shield was always capped at 3.

I’m still playing Lynette Jean. I laugh so hard whenever a Neuvillette tries to charge attack, and I just Jean blast them off to force a switch.
I played against a Neuv Dehya deck and kept force switching them during Neuv attack and dehya burst 😂
The problem with that is that he heals 2 hp anyways and gains the energy before the prepare skill, so you barely deals damage. I've let people force switch me off because better Neuvillette take damage than someone else lol
@@justapasserbyrandomperson9325 4 damage from jean is still a lot I’d say. I still also get energy for a healing burst, so it works pretty well. With aquila as well, that’s just at most one damage from neuvillette.

It's not 4 damage, that's the thing, it's 2 damage, and I can heal back instantly. You have to use 4 aligned dice that could be used for a force swap to heal while I can just hit normal attack to heal back all the damage you just dealt
Healing 4 HP in a round with Neuvillette normal attack while you need to probably tune for 6 anemo dice to deal 8 dage doesn't sound very threatening ngl

Am I the only one who feels like cicin is better than fischl in most scenarios?
Cicin summon at least gets one extra usage and doesn't need 3 energy for her burst
What scenario would make fischl better than the cicin mage?
The initial hit from Fischl is extremely important, especially for aggro decks - it's the reason she's played over Yae most of the time. Also even tough her burst is more expensive, it's more impactful damage wise.
In less aggressive decks though Cicin/Yae both work well.
@@blepthecat oh I didn't realise that cicin doesn't have an initial hit, then it makes sense why fischl might be better in some cases
@@Twinsuperova Yeah, which is why the Talent is so crucial - with talent equipped you will get that initial hit as well as additional hits later - which does make Cicin better than Fischl
