Thank you for this very informative and interesting video. Once I do the rest of my homework I will choose a tester and appreciate all of your hard work.
I really appreciate you showing me how to use circuit tester. BTW, man that's one ecstatic mid engine Japanese Ferrari you have there... I am so jealous!😍
That’s a better design than my Snap-On stick test light that cost me £69 It’s only a bulb but it does have a fuse protection but I think your test light has it built into the electronics anyway, it doesn’t have a spike protector and it also doesn’t have a coiled lead. David you should pull out the electronics and show the internal build quality. But otherwise a great review.
Thanks! It’s definitely pretty cool and a barging for 20 bucks. I assumed it would have a old school fuse but it might have something else. The inside was just a small box. Not sure if I can take that apart. Thanks for watching!
Except for the ( bed of nails ) alligator clip none are manufactured very well . Clamp the smallest locking pliers ( ViseGrips ) to a ground then secure the test light’s clip to it ! 7/24/23
You need a suitable clamp meter to measure the small currents involved. I use the UNI-T UT210E because it measures DC current down to 1mA. Google "UNI-T UT210E Mark Hennessy" and you will get a good review of it..if I post a link, CZcams deleted the post for some reason.
You connect it to ground and then touch a wire with power. Make sure your ground is a good ground and if you don’t have power to a wire, it won’t light up.

🤘🏽 thanks! I appreciate it.

Thanks for watching! and thanks! it is an Acura NSX. A great car!!!
Hi guys. Interesting tool. It hit awfully close to home😂🏎🎄
I actually thought of you when I was using it. 🙂

By the way David, In case you don’t recognise my avatar or name this is Clive Pluckrose. 😎
@@chl935nsx ha! I didn’t. Hello, my friend!!! 🙂🤘🏽❤️
Can this be used to test my spark plug ignition coil on my lawn mower?
I wouldn’t recommend it. A true speak tested would be the tool to use.
Hi probably a stupid question but I genuinely don't know do you need the ignition on or do you just earth and touch a cable with it?
Not a stupid question. You just ground it and probe a circuit. If it had power it should light up and provide the voltage reading.
What's ground it mean?@@DriversTherapy
Does it show the volts in the fuses to show if they are going?
Yes, if the circuit is complete the voltage will display.
can i somehow use this to test a car headlight outside of the car?
No, you would need a self powered test light
I like that test but I not like the spiral cord
Would this work on a 6v positive ground 50’s Pontiac?
I’m not sure.

Great idea. Thank you for sharing and watching the video. You rock!!! 🤘🏽
can you do parasitic draw with it or can you do a video trying to find a parasitic draw
Good idea! I will look into that. Thanks!

can it be used on lawn tractor battery
I don’t see why not. Just use it correctly l.
Where does the alligator clip connect to? I connected mine to a ground and nada happened.
You connect it to ground and then touch a wire with power. Make sure your ground is a good ground and if you don’t have power to a wire, it won’t light up.
Test your battery first

Volcom :)
Yes!!!
You'll soon discover the "screwdriver" is too big, the cable too short, and the functionality... meh.
Do you have an alternate to recommend?
