While it's pretty obvious that the regular switch is the better choice I remember seeing a friend of my friend come to his house with a switch light and I was absolutely surprised to see how small it was. Like the mere thought of playing a game as massive as Breath of the Wild or Mario odyssey on something so small just feels so cool, I knew it was smaller than the regular switch but seeing it in person just hits different.
that depends on what you want from it. Being able to switch between handheld and docked is great, the main strength of the normal switch over the lite. But for handheld the lite is much better. Lower weight is more comfortable, less wide can be more comfortable (maybe not true for guys with broad shoulders), no detachable joycons makes it feel much more sturdy. Im pretty sure both have the same resolution display. The lite having a smaller screen maybe is less impressive but it does mean its display looks more sharp. Having multiple color options is very nice too, rather than being stuck with basically just black woth being able to choose only the color for the joycons. imo the biggest downside of the lite is that no removable joycons means that having stick drift fixed requires sending in the whole thing to have it repaired. (and 2 minor things being that in breath of the wild u need an external controller to do the few motion control shrines, and in skyrim no rumble means no cheating at the lockpicking minigame)
You can get rumble on the Lite by pairing a Bluetooth controller like the ones you'd use on the OG model. (you need to be familiar with sync button location tho)
And the buttons are softer buttons, so they’re not loud and clicky. Good for button mash type games lol. Or just in general, there are times where you don’t want to have a loud controller
You can travel with normal switch too. Also who doesn’t want detachable controllers so you can play with friends without them needing to also buy a switch lite.
I have an OLED and while i love it lots, i still use the Lite as my primary console. Aside from a few differences, It functions just like a nornal switch.
