I love the movies, they're my guilty pleasure. But they're so lazy with consistency. its hard to believe that Anderson made all of them because every movie retcons the movie before it. smh.

@@simpgod2170 It's implied it wasn't real or Wesker took it back again. The scene was never shown as Final Chapter jumps from that scene to her on the run etc.
This series is a guilty pleasure of mine. I know they're kinda cheesy but I still enjoy them

First two work as Resident Evil adaptations. Everything else... doesn't exist to me. Novels were much better anyways.
I like NONE of the movies. They were nonsense and boring, and for the heck of me if they hadn't had resident evil in their name, I'm 100%sure they would have tanked completely

I'm not defending the movies' stories, as if saying any age would make an opinion "irrelevant" (I usually don't say my age on YT for that exact reason, haha). People just feel more comfortable thinking they are talking to someone younger, so I let them think that ;-]

@@topdawg2003 I'm all for an accurate portrayal of Resident Evil, especially if they actually paid attention to the first game s story and used it. But that doesn't mean I can't have a guilty-pleasure movie or two, especially seeing as I said specifically in my reply to Mateo that I mainly just think the effects are decent and not the storylines of the movies. But hey, you must be part of the "other opinions are fine as long as they are exclusively my opinion" club, right? Ha ha.
My favorite resident evil movie is apocalypse. It's the first resident evil movie I watched and it holds a special place in my heart.
The first & second were the best in establishing the series as a survival horror action movie. Everything went downhill past that.
I went to the cinema with my Dad to see it at 12 years old. No idea how they actually let me in to see it lol.
Awesome movie and also holds a special place in my heart.
Apocalypse is dope. Probably the only one with a connection story/setting wise to the games.

Alice was more of a living Ghoul than a Zombie. It's possible that her psionic power was an unintended side effect of the bonding. The virus was designed to regenerate the cells of a living host and it incidentally jumpstarts the nervous system of a dead host. It wasn't originally intended to kill. It was meant to cure degenerative illnesses. The virus instead, grew out of control and triggered a cytokine cascade that kills the host. Instead of dying from the cytokine cascade that killed other hosts, she developed heightened physical abilities and cellular regeneration. Since she never died, the viral factor that normally jumpstarts the nervous system instead hyper stimulated and augmented hers. Her autonomic functions were at that point being regulated by the A-Virus (T-Virus Alice strain) instead of her brain freeing up additional neural tissue to be repurposed for other functions. Her intellect would likely have been equally heightened, but all of this basically makes her an OPAF Demigoddess and that would eliminate any sort of suspense so her de-powering is understandable.

They could've created a antagonist that surpassed her in abilities and intelligent, like what they did in Extinction not give her powers back in Retribution only for her not to have it in the Final Chapter
The whole movie felt kinda rushed
She died in Apocalypse but they revived her using some sort of pod filled with fluid.
This series was my childhood man... Alice is so badass!

Dan Brooks apparently he lost them when he injected same antivirus in himself because the prototype virus in his body was gaining too much control.

Yeah that was a disappointing end for Wesker I expected at least a boss fight in re5 he died in a volcano and two rocket launchers to the face but in the movies all it took was a door

People like to talk bad about these movies, but i find them quite entertaining. They are not masterpieces, the films are highly flawed but i have fun watching them so... yay me! i guess. People saying things like the cgi movies are better are just delusional.
@ProToken 420 I agree, it truly was all over the place lol. Although, they were great action/zombie movies if nothing else. I thoroughly enjoyed 1 & 2, and didn't mind watching the rest of them. It didn't hurt that Milla is gorgeous and nice to look at lol. I'm not lesbian, but I do enjoy looking at beautiful people!

Well im Not delusional just because I like the CGI movies much more.
They are canon part of the resident evil lore and treat the original characters with more respect than the anderson movies which constantly treatet the characters of the game like shit and changed their complete backround stories.
The pacing of the CGI movies is far better, the Dialog is better, the stories make a lot more Sense and the Overall visuals are far better.
So.. no.. CGI is the undisputed and clear winner.

I just barely realized Alice is everything Umbrella wanted in the video games lol.
She rly is,shes everythin spencer (umbrella founder from the games) ever wanted for himself,hell she even had high-tier mimicry abilities aka shape-shifting/complete cellular manipulation,accordin to the novels at least
She also cured cancer, walked on water, fed the poor, transformed water into wine and ascended to the Father till the Second Advent.
Think that I used to feel bad for using Cheat Engine when I played RE on pc.
I myself never thought of ALICE as a zombie; But I did always imagine her as someone who was immune to the zombie-virus, and so there for that is why she never got turned into a zombie.
She’s not immune, she developed a symbiotic bond to the T-Virus, which prevented the virus from causing the fatal cytokine cascade that killed other infected hosts.
my favorite weapon is the sawed off double barrels that use coins ass projectiles, i might do that myself

I remembered watching Afterlife on theaters and heard these two girls talking about the videogames which they said sucked because it has no alice in it. I rolled my eyes and was like yeah sure lol

As much as I love these movies (and I do!) I am gutted they didn't pick up the pilot for the 'Arklay' TV series. I know the pilot was short and really just a proof of concept but it looked like it had serious potential. Great vid btw! 😁

I really enjoy these movies. It's like a different storyline with a new character in the universe of RE. I like it cause it's own thing, not just a Resident Evil movie that completely follows the game by the T. If people wanted the same thing they could literally go play the games.

FilmComicsExplained I suggest you do separate videos for the Warframe Technocyte Virus and the Dark Sector one, because both games are only connected spiritually, so the virus is different in each game

So then, the movies are kinda like an alternate timeline from the games. Where the virus broke out differently and ended up taking over the world.
