- Hello Aviators!
Here is a video of a Boeing 737-8 MAX Landing in beautiful Saint Johns
Newfoundland and Labrador Canada
This is one of the last flight to St. Johns this year, as the season is coming to an end as the weather is pretty harsh there winter time.
ENJOY!
My dream job
Are you in the process of your flight training ?
l am preparing for the unuversity exam . If I score high in the exam , I will study with a scholorsip
I hope I win ❤😊
@@aksoybusra wow good luck man! So the scholarship will cover the whole cost of the flight training?
Thank you 😊 😁yes, all expenses will be covered by the unuversity
@@aksoybusra that’s insanely awesome! Which country is it?
Visiting St. John's this June on a MAX 8 for my first plane ride ever. Scared to death, but videos like this have been helping.
Great first officer! Had the pleasure to fly with him previously. Nice videos 👍🏻
Yes indeed) You know Julian?) We just came back from a 3 day pairing:)
Oh Julien is an absolute gem!!
@@flymax I do, we were colleagues! Operated some solid flights together
Thankyou Saint John for the upload! ✈️
You're welcome! Love St. Johns! Another one is on the way;) last one this season
Great landing Captain!
Just found your channel by accident, and binge-watched all the videos. Very cool content, and some beautiful outside views! Thank you for uploading and sharing your flying time with us. Oh, and I guess RAAS needs a software update 😅
Good landing 👏
Thank you Ma, love you!
What a wonderful view! 🤍
Thank you! I love it too!
This time the ceiling was a bit low, usually the view is just amazing there
Amazing view with amazing pilot, Max. ❤️
@@Shaynarael thank you 😊🫶
Mr Pilot, a quick question.
In relation to the Boeing 737NG's EFIS and the integration of its ADIRU (Air Data Inertial Reference Unit) with other avionics systems, can you provide an in-depth analysis of how the SMYD (Stall Management Yaw Damper) system processes data from the ADIRU, particularly during high AoA (Angle of Attack) situations? Furthermore, considering the impact of recent MCAS (Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System) updates, how does the aircraft's FCC (Flight Control Computer) prioritize and resolve potential conflicting inputs from multiple sensors, specifically when there are discrepancies in AoA vane readings?
Brother I love your question!:)
Well, ADIRU's get the info from the gyros, accelerometers and air data module inputs as well as pitot static systems. The air data modules convert pneumatic pressure to electrical signals and send that data to the ADIRU's. The two alpha vanes measure the angle of attack relative to the air mass. SMYD computers determine when stall warning is required based upon alpha vanes outputs, ADIRU's outputs, anti-ice controls, wing configurations, air/ground sensing, thrust and FMC outputs. Once the discrepancy is detected between conflicting inputs from multiple sensors MCAS is automatically deactivated.
Thank you for your comment! I feel like that's a good topic for a video:)
Perfect video! Coffee was good?
Amazing! Thanks for visiting my hometown!! Much love to your channel!
Edit: What's it like being a pilot for Lynx Air?
I love St.Johns! Thank you!🫶
So far so good, looking forward for more destinations) looks like we’re gonna start flying to Mexico, Jamaica, more destinations in Florida and maybe Europe:) but need to get ETOPS approval first.
@@flymax I see! The MAX 8's aren't ETOPS-180 yet?
This is the first time I am seeing the auto pilot working the yoke pretty good before auto pilot disengagement.
And I never seem to hear audio call outs once on the ground before.
Like how much runway is left and intersection points on airport grounds
At 3:22 isn’t the approaching 11 callout a RAAS callout?
Yes Sir absolutely correct! 💪🏼
RAAS is a Smart Landing option to the EGPWS.
Very nice. But still thinking about speed 163 and flaps 15.....If I do that in flight sim I'll get BUFFET ALERT. hmm
Well, the speed bug was just above the Flap15 manoeuvring speed (around 155kt) so 163kt is just fine and no buffet alert should take place. Try in a sim and please let me know) is It PMDG?
@@flymax Thank you for your answer. Yes It is PMDG 738. I dont get BUFFET ALERT everytime, but just sometimes. Thats why this is even more interesting for me. How I understand PMDG 738 that 163 speed is to low for flaps 5 and I should have already flaps 15 at this speed. There is ofcourse important what weather conditions are ? (if Im correct)
@@jakobhermann6475 oh I see where the problem is) there is a flap extension schedule that you can find in PMDG materials, which states that you can select Flaps15 at Flaps5 speed tape display. And of course 163kt is too low for Flaps5 and you will get a buffer alert. Not so much weather, but the weight of the aircraft.
@@flymax there we go :) I will fly in a minute and check it out. Are you flying for AC? If yes then we are working for the same company :)
Thank you very much :) and best regards from EDDF
@@jakobhermann6475 beautiful, let me know how it goes) no, I’m with Lynx. I’ve flown to Frankfurt so many times! Cheers from CYYZ:)
Its actually st. John’s not saint john. Saint john is in new brunswick.
Oh really? Sorry, I didn’t know that, thanks for mentioning 🙏
No worries. I’m from St. John’s so just wanted to let you know. Great videos keep them coming!!
@@stevem76 thank you:) what do you think of Newfoundland’s Coffee shop?) is it good?)
