@2nd Cents, Inc Cleveland Auction House Just to let you know, if the woman who had owned that storage unit stash was born in 1966 then she WASN'T elderly. Even if she died this year she would only have been 57 years old.
That means her kids were probably 20’s-30’s. They either didn’t want to be bothered or were overwhelmed with everything you have to do after someone dies. We don’t know what her house looked like. They might have had to clean a crap ton of stuff out of there.
Yeah! I just turned 61 and was deeply offended! Lol!! 😅
I'm offended too at 72
yeah - I concur!
This woman probably inherited from her mother. A lot of the costume jewelry from 50s and 60s. How old are these men? Bush was not president in the 70's and 57 is middle age.
My aunt died in 2002 at the time, living and working as a sort of housemother in an eight-bedroom house for the homeless. She had a 20x20 locker because all she had was a furnished room. When she passed, I had to get rid of her possessions; she was a hoarder leaning to the Arts & Crafts stuff; I would say that 75% of the packed full 20x20 locker were boxes full of brand new arts & crafts items; there was so much brand new items that we opened a booth at a local flea market for two months! Hoarding is a disorder and can put the hoarder and their families and friends in a really bad situation! It's sad!
What gets me is that the kids did not even want to look through their parents locker. Whether they keep it or not, how sad.
Some children live thousands of miles away from their parents so don't know what they leave behind, if working full time might not have time to go through all their stuff.
Born Dec 1966 is not old only 56yrs old.I wonder how long she was collecting all this stuff.
i imagine that was one if her childs names...they knew she used to be a swinger and didn't want to have it in their faces
The holy grail...single stitch vintage shirts. My son whose only 17 knows more about how to handle them
the 'purple quartz' is commonly called AMETHYST!!! My favorite semi-precious stone!!!
She was a super cool older lady I can tell!
The Burt poster I bet would go for a pretty penny. When I was a teen my mom brought that home from work and showed me. I thought I was looking at a hairy rug . 🤣
Dude killing me when he's unfolding the single stitch tees and then NOT folding them back up, just tosses in a pile.
They aren't interested....it's just a fast buck to them...pretty gross really.
Those shirts maybe single stitch but it looks like those Graphics were screen printed on there. The reason why I say that is because they're all square and in same size diameter as the screen press. 🤷♂️
@@nillyboble They look home made with heat transfers which were popular at the time. im sure still worth some money tho!
🇨🇦 kinda sad that the woman's kids didn't want anything from their moms locker. Family photos? Come on!
Here you called her a horder and she just made you thousands of dollars.
I think you owe the lady that passed away an apology out of respect.
God bless 🙏💞🙏
Kim, I don't have a negative view of hoarders. In my line of work people who hoard or over collect is my bread & butter. I have the upmost respect for this lady. Remember, I am going to save these items from the landfill and find new people to appreciate them.
@@2ndCentsIncAuctionsCleveland Thank you for clarification. Just so sad to see photos & I'd that children doesn't know about or doesn't want, very personal items.
Wow! That sure was fun watching you unpack and those boxes. Makes me wonder what will happen to all my stuff when I'm gone. This makes me realize I need to get rid of my "stuff." Thanks for sharing.
If gold and silver or real jewelry can be very valuable, also antiques, furniture, old collectible coins, comic books, paintings and even some toys, dolls and posters.
Sell things now! Use the money for more important things. if you are retired cash out, enjoy life.
The t-shirts are in great condition and then he crumbles them up and ruins the screen printing. NICE! News Flash - there are people out in the world who are collectors of that kind of merch.
The way these guys handle things- they gobble up money! They folded something in two of the boxes with papers and comics in them, and dropped bits of jewelry.
Yes! My thoughts exactly.
Yup.
THIS!
Almost everything you showed is worth $ maybe ya'll are to young to realize. Those T Shirts are worth alot $. Mishandled alot of things.
THAT WAS A REALLY GREAT UNIT ❤️ Thanks for sharing your time with all of us ❤️ Love watching all of your guys videos
Loved watching your opening of the boxes!
What a great unit. Kinda need time to process the goodness in each box. Clean unit for being outside. Glad you and Shane had some help!
That poster of Burt Renolds was his centerfold in Cosmopolitan so risqué for the time!😂😂😂
Amazing unit ...Rob you have been on a roll with great units ..have a wonderful weekend ❤
Great video enjoy watching and seeing Jeremy and George George thank you for sharing
This was my first time watching one of your videos! I’m hooked! What a phenomenal treasure trove! Love the dynamic between you and your friends. I was laughing while being engaged in what you would find next!
I saw alot of my Mom's stuff left behind in these boxes! Thanks for the fun!!
You all opened great boxes!
Awesome unit !!! You did great !
A lot of work, but was fun watching you and your friends get excited over your finds,
Super thanks
This woman had a daughter born early to mid 80s. Most of the smalls were present in my playroom or friends. Thanks for the trip. I even recognize a She-Ra toy (picture on package) that went missing after a sisterly custody battle and I completely forgot about it. Time to collect confessions!
Sisterly custody battle lol I had a few of those with my sister but being the baby I would hide her barbie dolls and make her pay me. Oh the good ol days lol
What a great and fun unit!!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖
you make my teeth itch; all those immaculate vintage t shirts, neatly folded; you're just screwing them up. I hope you folded them after.
Thanks so much, really enjoyed these videos, I'm in Scotland and love seeing American vintage it's amazing.
28:28 the box that was opened with "for the baby" clothes I'm pretty sure that was signature Cabbage Patch Kids clothing! That could be worth some good money?
Some older antique clothing might be even more valuable for people or dolls.
@@hydrolito I find toy collectors are looking for things that were super popular in the last 50-60 years; that's what you see at Toy Shows; Barbie, G.I. Joe, Star Wars, Cabbage Patch Dolls etc. I'm not sure what the reaction to the Cabbage Patch Doll was the first Christmas it came out in 1982. I was 12 that year and was only aware of the craziness here in Southern Ontario, Canada; I lived about 40 minutes out of Toronto. People were fighting over the dolls at K-mart and other stores like that; (we didn't have any Walmarts); everyday assault incidents were all over the news from mothers and fathers fighting over the CP Dolls. I remember days before Christmas that year, K-mart at the mall close to where I lived got a shipment of Cabbage Patch Dolls, and they announced this incoming shipment on the local news stations, newspapers and radio stations; the night before, people were camping out at the mall, luckily for them, we had historical highs that Christmas, so it was pretty mild out! When the store opened, there were a couple dozen police there. It was nuts! Even on Christmas day, a 5-year-old I babysat was playing at a nearby park a few houses down from her home, and she was thrown to the ground, and her CP Doll was stolen by what she described as a man in a suit! There were other popular toys that came out over the years like Tickle Me Elmo but there hasn't been anything like the Cabbage Patch Dolls, Babies and Kids!
I love the stuff from the past!!! 💟
I love watching u guys because the little boys in u show up every time
Great unboxing.❣❣
I love the hankies my grandmother and aunt used to use hankies wished I had some of those to make into a quilt, thimbles, and the sewing machine
That Burt poster is iconic!! Women lost their minds! Lol
Nice to see you all it's been a good unit can't wait to see what is next I will be watching for the next notification 🙂
Excellent locker. you all work so well together.
Nice work guys!!!
Born in 1966 is not elderly! LOL
Very cool unit Rob, every one found some good stuff things in the boxes they picked, I thought those sport radios were pretty cool
Ok so watching you guys have the box challenge is so funny!!! What an amazing licker find!
UNBELIEVABLE I❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💝the 80’s you SCORED BIG HUGE ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
the burt reynolds poster was everything!!
I should be working on the baby girl quilt im making, or finishing some slo stitching or making my daughters kindle cover or my bible cover, i could be watching or listening to the daybell trial highlights or missing or crimes video, watching a sewing or quilting video and im watching you guys. I love yall and i keep going back to watch your videos! I know yall have seen so much and i love seeing things from my childhood and it really does make you think about what would be found in my locker if i passed and my kids just packed it all into a locker to go through later and life happens and they let it go. I even have things in a locker in dallas that we stuck in with my moms stuff when i was going to move up there but plans changed. I just love you guys. I love that its not just about the money. Its the care and respect and laughter and addressing whos things you are going through that i love.
How sad the children didn't want what their Father and Mother so enjoyed. I wonder if our children will be the same way with my husband and my things? your 80-year-old grandma Nan-Naw from Florida.
Storage Units after winning a storage unit bid is like christmas.
Lol, they have that exact Burt Reynolds poster in the ladies bathroom at The Safe House in Milwaukee! 😂
The Dooley's Of Michigan Have BLESSED Day
What a vintage locker, hope you make all your money back and some.
Wow that was a great locker ..
Value in every box!
Cool stuff really veried ! Lots of real old costume jewelry ! I remember my Grandma wearing it ! Shirts were good !
My mom had the Burt Reynolds poster that you showed that so funny. She hit it in her dresser drawer.
We're the posters Tom's lmao 🤣
That's why she got so much jewelry, Tom was keepin secrets! 🤪🖤
The poster that you guys said it was Tom Selleck in black was actually David Hasslehoff.
Yes, David
No, Canadian pennies are not called Loonies :) A penny is a penny, and we no longer use them. A loonie is a larger coin that is worth $1.
The Donnie and Marie puzzle❤❤❤
One Hale of a Score Guys! And I would be lying if I didn't say I was a little envious lol 👍😉🇨🇦
Sarah Conventry. Wow. Good jewelry. Fun watching you guys glad I'm not there. You're having to much fun. My department.
Those tshirts are money! People pay for those old vintage Ts.
Some stores also sell used magazines.
Awesome unit guy’s. A lot great thing’s. It’s always good seeing Jeremy and George George helping you out. Thank you for sharing have a great day 😊
Lots of fun!
OOh that Owl... so beautiful
U are bless
I love the owl necklace!
Epic unit. And also units that should stay rolled up!!! 😂. 💥👍💥👍
My Dad had a gold tooth till time for dentures. It was in my moms cedar chest but it disappeared.
Funny moments....crazy stuff...my fav the tiny Rubics cube !!🤣
That View Master and the Watergate slides are a piece of history and worth quite a bit of money if they are what I think they are!
Is that an original 1972 bear rug, Burt Reynolds poster? That's worth at least $40, I know, I bought one as a joke a few years back. 🤣
Hilarious!!! I'm hooked!❤
Fun stuff!
The smal doll in the blue dress in George's box is a Betsy McCall doll. I think I got one in the late 50's?
Looks like she was a fun lady , she probably also knew what penny's were worth money, the antiques are amazing, what a disappointment her kids did not want anything to do with their moms storage locker. R.I.P :,,(
You find one of them old recalled small silver tape recorder, they are selling for 2-4 thousand dollars to the paranormal groups
I love your videos but it makes me sad to know that adult children do not want or value things that their mothers loved and collected for them, I understand that not everything our mom's collect are not important to the kids but think to be able to hold something your mom wore or loved in your hands after your parents are gone how precious or to get to give them to your children and tell the story to them about grandmom that would be priceless now its like just put it in storage and get rid of it.It seems like they do not care one bit.Good for 2nd Cents for saving these things and give them a second life, I hope he finds one million in cash one of these days and then how quick will these adult kids feel foolish and regretful.
My mom died 5 years ago and I still haven’t gotten to go through her stuff! Not that I want much except maybe some of my kids letters!
Her self the elf and Rose Petal dolls came out in the early 80s. They were like Strawberry shortcake dolls but they also had their own show if I'm not mistaken
I loved The Vegas Tom Jones Welsh Dragon pin Badge it’s ace ! 🏴 I’m going to see him in U.K. Carlisle Bitts park
😁👋👍👍👏👏💕🙏
14:37 When he pulled out the Disk. I was thinking view master.
Then a memory was tapped. And I kind of vaguely remember, like in the eighties or maybe early nineties. There was a different film. Or a different camera. that when you had your pictures developed. They were on a disk like that.
35:00ish or 4 items past the E.T key chain. The 3 piece unique colored earrings and brooch. I would like more information on that. And how to purchase if possible? would that be in your online auction? Thank you very much. And have a great weekend.
It's unreal when someone dies what the family sees as "junk". Years ago a friend and I went around buying storage units....we found everything from a diamond ring, real pearls and gemstones, to a dismantled old Harley. Antiques, coin collections, and yes a lot of stuff we didn';t want. In one was an old victrola with 6 boxes of 78 records...including Elvis..That's Alright Mama back when he first started with Sun label. Tex Ritter, the High Noon movie theme song he did, Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darlin ,origional White Christmas with Bing Crosby...so much more, in their paper covers and each one wrapped and still playable. War items, of all kinds from WWII...some pretty sad stuff..even someone's urn with ashes. Fossils, crystal rocks of all kinds...we never knew what we were going to get. Books, lots of books...but often some oldies like Dick and Jane, and even way before...oldest book found was copy-written 1889..still in good shape. It was an adventure for sure. The cookware, some furniture, other books, records (45's) and albums (331/3 )etc. we put out in a yard sale along with other stuff. Some of it was work..but still fun..and we added to our personal collection and made money as well. On one trip...a lady next to us bought a unit...come to find out it was 19 big boxes and boxes of baseball trading cards....talk about $$$$
For many people stuff from the past does not bring happy memories. Everyone was not fortunate enough to feel nostalgic about their childhood or their families.Home was just a place to leave as soon as possible. Those of us whose first reaction is how sad it is that they don’t want to cherish what we think of as precious memories might take time to thank God for our blessings.
@@marymargaretblumhorst5359 This guy was a mama's boy from wayyyy back, still lived at home etc. We never figured it out.
Hello Rob
That's a poster of Burt Reynolds. This pic was in the 1st Pay Girl magazine.
At the 12:00 mark that blue floral necklace is super cute! Can I buy that?
I'm over 50, and have a original rubix cube still in plastic wrap with sticker on it from store it was purchased.
The Wonder Whims has sold for around $200 mint in box.
The curtains may have come from the casino as well.🤔
Honestly the 1 with her birthrate u should give back to the family I'm just saying. U really shouldn't cash that in. But this is my opinion. U either can take it or leave. Not trying to sound nasty but I know if the roles were reverse I would do that if I found something like that in a storage unit. And by the way u guys found some awesome & amazing stuff
I take it back. In the end you did good!
Thanks Melinda
Sorry I thought your hoodie said Zents. 😎
obbie>>>Jermy and Shane Ya All Rock just missing a few old folks who I love seeing and George George Its been real! >>>LOL!! Love the whole video and all of ya ROCK ROCK ROCK!! Merry Christmas and Happiest New Year!! 2023 Going Right Up!! I'm still playing catch em up!!
I am from Florida
Yes, I would try to give the pictures to the family. I'm thinking that she probably already gave her children and grandchildren jewelry momento's. By seeing what was in storage I'm guessing there were more precious pieces to give to family. Granted there was some silver and gold, but I'm thinking the best things stayed with her. Think about it. There weren't any really nice jewelry boxes. They stayed in the house. Don't feel sorry for the kids or think bad of them. I'm sure they have things of their mom's and knew what was in the unit and just didn't want to deal with it all. But then again I am just guessing. 😻 Peace
You better test that stone at the end of the video! It just might be real!! 😆
This is multi generational. Towards the back are the women’s parents’ stuff. Those dresser boxes were created by clearing out after a funeral.
Agreed she was to young for some of the items.
What child would not want something from their mother to remember her by
Y'all hilarious 😁😆😆😆
Dice are probably Bakelite. That stuff doesn’t do well outside of a controlled temp unit.
Hey now, love my Steelers
This woman was NOT elderly at 56yo!! This stuff could possibly have been HER parents belongings.
