We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

This would be an awesome series! Every so often the boys pick a random ingredient (maybe from comment suggestions), surprise Sam with it, and Sam has one hour to make a fabulous main dish with the ingredient and only what he has on hand in his kitchen, freezer and pantry. It doesn't have to be expensive and would help a lot of us to think more outside the box when we're looking at what we have and trying to figure out what to make for a meal. Of course, pick ingredients Sam is at least somewhat familiar with. I believe he can do it!

I did a very similar thing! My dad styles himself a grill master (up for vigorous debate) but there is no denying his love for steak. He, however, is not a fan of fish. I went ahead and got him a huge slab of wagyu as well but repacked it in a box that originally housed fish. Seeing his face change from disgusted to complete euphoria was worth it! Great idea Max and you guys should do more mystery box episodes in the future!

3 of the reasons why this channel is simply the best:
    1. The video, editing, and production is unmatched.
    2. Sense of humor.
    3. Relatable- You show your mistakes and makes us all realize that cooking isn't an exact science, but a feeling based adventure where is experimentation is key.
I'm sure many have tried but none can replicate you. You are a true legend.

Heard about you for the first time on WMMR’s Preston and Steve show when they tried your potato chip mashed potatoes, but became a big fan when you did an interview with them (even though you were on vacation!). You were a riot, and so genuine about cooking what you like, even if you’re not a pro. Thank you for taking the pressure of perfection off of us and showing that cooking can be fun, with or without mistakes.

That may be the best surprise I’ve ever seen! Your son REALLY LOVES you! BTW, you should bring back the paper towel roll! I’m sure I’m not the only one that misses it…😂🤣😂

Been watching your channel for a while and I've always liked how you cook unapologetically, and show the mistakes. It helps me want to get better at cooking and realize that even some of the most experienced cooks still mess up every once in a while. I'd love to win one of those steaks for my dad who's a big steak fan. I don't think he's ever had A5 Wagyu so this would be an awesome surprise for his birthday.

My stepdad always had a stern, watchful eye over my cooking so I never had the confidence to cook anything more than a grilled cheese. After moving out I found your channel and I’ve never felt more confident cooking anything. Absolutely love the crew and appreciate the work you put into the videos!

I actually believe he didn't know what was under the towels. I wish you the best and would absolutely prepare the steak the exact same way if you pick me as the lucky recipient. Wish you all the best!

    My son-in-law's Korê Steakhouse serves
Wagyu beef and their private menu and I absolutely love the taste of it being cooked on their table grill and eating it straight from the grill. It's life-changing if you've never eaten it before and it was one of the major things on my bucket list. Less is more a 1" cut of Wagyu steak would be way too much to eat. 👍🥰
First time I ever ate it, I'll be a man and admit I teared up from anticipation. I've been wanting it for years, and for years it was only served in a handful of restaurants in the United States. I appreciated every morsel and I shared it with everyone at my table.

Quick tip: You can collect the oil from the meat and use it to cook veggies (caramelized onions / asparagus) instead of wiping it away like at 11:07. Makes a great side to the steak.

Hi Sam, Max, and Chance. I’d love to have that steak!
Sam - I’ve never cooked anything of mention for most of my life (I’ll be 52 in August). When the pandemic hit, and all the restaurants were shut down I was pretty depressed and longing for good food. I stumbled on your channel and you were doing the In-and-Out video. It made me drool for a good burger. And I was like, “hell, I can do that” and so I did. Along with numerous recipes since then. Basically, you taught me to cook and now it’s one of my favorite pastimes. My wife is very happy, and I’ve gotten pretty damn good at it. That’s because of your channel. So thank you.
Max - Love your rig and editing skills. I’m a designer, photographer, and videographer. So I appreciate how well you shoot and edit vids. What do you edit with? I use Premier.
Chance - Dude. Always good to see another Finn out there. Keep up the great work. Sisu!

This reminds me of a small county fair type of gathering years ago here in Texas. Somebody donated like 6 Wagyu A5 steaks to our local sheriff’s department. A local ‘cook’ volunteered to cook them for the sheriff and his deputies.
He started by giving them a liberal coating of some sort of seasoned salt. Like he covered them in it to the point they were orange like the salt. Then he put them on charcoal and cooked them all the way to past well-done. Then being the efficient cook he was, he topped them with ketchup, so they didn’t have to ask for it.
He was immediately arrested. The local judge passed sentence that day. He should be getting out of prison in 2026….

You forgot to mention the part where the chef was black and they also shot up his entire family and destabilized their community while also killing off every firstborn child on his block.
