I can tell you that I remember the day the Lord baptized me with the Holy Spirit. .. I was in my bedroom in the middle of the night. I ask for the baptism and it came and it was like fire. 🔥🔥 .. I couldn't stop it was the sweetest thing ever. I can still remember that day like it was yesterday.

The reason why it didn't happen was because I was afraid. I was timid, shy and doubtful so I wasn't confident in releasing myself especially in church. Which was where it actually happened even though I tried for it in my own time at home.
So My Pastor was the one that God used to help me to overcome that wicked Spirit of fear. We were in a fasting service at church, and She was led by the Spirit to call up the men one after the other to lead a round of prayer. I wasn't expecting to be called because without the Baptism of the Holy Spirit it is customary that a person wouldn't really start to function in the church as yet. Soo I was quite comfortable in the congregation reaching out in my out little way.
When suddenly out of no where My Pastor called my name to come to the front, to take the microphone and pray. My heart dropped, and I wanted to run and Hide 🤣🤣, Because I was a very shy, timid and anxious person. But I strengthen my self and took a little courage went up to the front of the Church took the microphone and started to pray and in about a minute BOOM!!💥...The Holy Spirit took over and I started to speak with other tongues. I was soo surprised, was still a little doubtful but I could feel there was a difference because I felt so light. But the stronghold of fear was broken which the Lord wanted, and as I continued to pray in the Holy Ghost, the doubt went as well. Now I'm here stronger in the Lord

Pray fervently to be filled with the Holy Spirit until the Lord answers your prayer and fills you ( You will know when it happens).
Then open your mouth and relax your tongue. This is the equivalent of yielding your tongue to the Holy Spirit. Are you saved without receiving the Holy Spirit?
    Romans 8:14-17 KJVS
[14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. [15] For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. [16] The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: [17] And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
One only receives the Holy Ghost/Spirit if God permits.
    John 1:11-13 KJVS
[11] He came unto his own, and his own received him not. [12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: [13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

The Word says " He that hath not the Spirit of Christ is none of his".( Rom.8:9).
When we first believe, repent and are water baptized in the name of Jesus Christ we are in the process of being saved because being saved is being born again. We must then pray fervently to be filled with the Holy Spirit until He answers your prayer and fills you.
Then yield your tongue to the Spirit until He takes control of your tongue and enables you to speak in tongues. That is the Spirit baptism and how we recieve the Holy Spirit.

I love Derek's teachings. Like all people, however, he is not perfect, so I feel only slightly sad that I must disagree with two points he made in the first couple minutes of the video.
While we cannot put God in a box as He can Sovereignly do things out of the norm, we cannot use either Acts 1:8 or Acts 10 (Cornelius) as examples to underlie a second method (laying on of hands being the first) of receiving the Baptizing (n.) of the Holy Ghost subsequent to salvation.
With Cornelius, God most likely did the HG baptizing directly because of those "of the circumcision" (10:45; Hebraic Jews) who were present, and whose ingrained traditions of belief would have precluded them from believing a non-Hebrew could be so blessed. Peter MIGHT have had enough faith all by himself to lay on hands for their receiving, but the others not. And having God do it directly was more convincing than if Peter had administered it (you know, like how many cessationists believe such a manifestation to be false).
On Pentecost, they of course HAD to receive it directly because no one else had it, no laying on of hands available from anyone.
Therefore, we could further classify Acts 10 as the Gentile's Pentecost??
My second disagreement is Derek's claim of the main reason for the Baptizing of the Holy Ghost being to transfer God's Power. Such was of course in part true of those given the Acts 1:8 promise, but it is the height of presumption to carry this over and apply it to all instances of a second blessing for all people. It strokes the ego, but....
The cessationist by and large knows full well that the vast majority of charismatics do not have some greater degree of power. Those of us charismatic should stop making such an erroneous claim of ourselves. We [hopefully] know it's not true. Such a greater degree of power IS available separately and in addition to the charismata blessing, as I further expound on X. I have no idea what Prince taught on this. So I'm behind in my magazine reading and I've just came to Larson's article. I just can't agree. Theologians are looking at how the early disciples believed and then were immersed in the Spirit at Pentecost. But that's not our experience. The Spirit hadn't been given until Jesus was taken up. In our experience Jesus has already died, risen, ascended to heaven and the Holy Spirit is given to all who believe (emphasis on saving faith and it's experienced relationship rather than a subjective knowledge desired only for fire protection and with no relationship. If you write me about Susan and I don't know Susan I won't know if I'm experiencing Susan or Christine. I have to know Susan objectively, really know her before I have an experiential knowledge. We can really know God and not just know things about Him. Really knowing God is what it takes. The only way to really know God is to believe and then follow. A casual awareness isn't enough.). I don't look at it as a 2nd baptism because again that's looking at it from the early disciples perspective and we don't have that perspective. I've heard Assembly teachings.. several of them I've never really thought were right once I was fully immersed in the Word. And in fact one of them was actually refuted earlier in this same magazine. But Larson goes on to tell the same thing I've always heard and my discerning never really accepted it. He says salvation gives a power to live a holy life and that's absolutely true. But then he goes on to say baptism in the Holy Spirit is given for power for service. If you have power to live a holy life that's all you need to be a powerful servant. Supernatural power only comes by believing. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God and believing it. Supernatural power is by faith. A lot of the evangelicals don't have it because they refuse to believe it. They won't talk about it. They act as if it was all yesterday. So the Spirit can only work in our hearts if we give Him access, if we're willing. So we have to spend time in the Word because that's where faith comes from. Faith for justification. Faith for sanctification. Faith for healing. Faith for whatever the hour brings and we need God's help. I don't believe in "believers" who refuse God's Word, the Scriptures. Larson is a well-respected teacher and even though I don't agree on this I'd be remiss if I didn't point out it's his background where his theological beliefs came. I had experienced other churches and had always believed the message prior to a full gospel where I experienced the knowledge of God. And then I went to an assembly where I started hearing these doctrine's and by that time I had already read several Bibles backwards and forwards and had a distinctive knowing of the Holy Spirit and I'd know when things weren't quite right even if they sounded true. Some call it internal intuition. But no that's a natural witness and I had that way back starting about 1990 when... this is different. The rest of the article is pretty good. *I heard the rebuttal. I wrote many words pointing out your (not Larson) history and how it doesn't line up but I deleted them because I don't want to fight. Paul makes no argument for a subsequent baptism. Acts of the Apostles. Every "Pentecostal" argument is easily explained. Still if I had to duck my head on a belief to be a part of a group this is one I'd try my best to keep quiet about. Peter makes no argument for a second baptism. In fact the text makes a good argument for one baptism. I'm done. "Leave us alone
" you can dish it out but you can't take constructive argument. Personally i believe that's why your dying and retroactively explaining once decay has already set in **I'll never bother with the thought of going to a game again (here) because all you do is worship drunkenness, orgies, and narcotics. It's your whole life and I don't want any part of it.

Jesus states that "God is a spirit". That Spirit is simply called "the Spirit of God" aka "the Holy Spirit". (The almighty God of course is the Father.) The Holy Spirit is inside Jesus ("...filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus..."). Well, Jesus tells us who is that Holy Spirit and He is NOT THE "LORD WHO GIVES LIFE". Jesus confirms that He is the Father instead "The words I say to you, I say not on my own but from the FATHER WHO DWELLS IN ME.". Also the apostles will be helped in the same manner by the Father - who is a spirit - "...SPIRIT OF YOUR FATHER which speaks through you.". When Jesus was baptized, the Holy Spirit - i.e. the Father who is a spirit - SAID "...you are my beloved Son...". The Father also existed in his "normal form", but no one ever saw Him "the world has not known you". The Spirit of God COMES FROM HIM.

@@rena19872007 Thx. Here you can have further information concerning my theory. In particular you can see why 1. Jesus is God (despite not being omnipotent) 2. Jesus is the Owner and King of heaven and not God 3. 4. who is the Spirit of God 5. what is the difference between the Father and the Son.....Jesus is in the Father and the Father is in Him. Correct. Why? For logical reasons, the almighty God cannot be here among us with his power, to do his work now, in real time. (Difficult to explain, I will make a video about this topic in the near future). This means that the almighty God has in reality already COMPLETED his work in a DISTANT PAST (but only from HIS POINT OF VIEW, not from yours !!!). "Completed" indeed means "completed in all respects", He could even have gone away!! But He didn't go away, He became like a man instead: "the Son of God" (with no power at all). This means that the Son is in reality now ALONE and is the only OWNER of everything, "the King of heaven". This all means that the almighty God cannot be here because He belongs to the past "The world has not known you" "No man has seen God at any time." . However - due to his power - even from that past - God can observe us and be here with his actions and his words. God is present here with his actions, He INTERACTS with us, but NOBODY is here in reality. This corresponds to the presence of a spirit ("God is a spirit"). He is the Spirit of God. Thus, the Three Persons are in reality just TWO because NO ONE is here; just the POWER of God is here, alone. "The Son is in the Father and the Father in the Son" thus means that the Son DERIVES from the Father, this is why He is called "SON", He is no "ACTUAL Son". The Son is thus at the same time NOT DISTINCT from the Father because "He is in the Father and the Father is in Him" yet He is also DISTINCT from the Father, since the Father is the almighty God - even if in the form of a spirit - and Jesus is like a normal man now, with no power at all ("the Father is greater than I"). We could thus say that God is more than One and less than Two in number. God bless you.

14 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
5 I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.
6 Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?
7 And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?
8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?
9 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.
10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.
11 Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.
12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
16 Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?
17 For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.
18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.
21 In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.
22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:
25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.
26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.
28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.
31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

Every time, God and God only bares witness and gives His Spirit

Not only was He in the Apostles abundantly, but they were also appointed to establish the church in faith.
