Patti has a very powerful vocal instrument. However she does not sing very well melodicly. She hits amazing high notes. In the eighties she was very melodic. Each of her songs were distinctive as every song should be.
If you're gonna try to out sing Patti LaBelle, you better bring your lunch........on second thought...Patti will out sing you and the fix your lunch! Besides being and unbelievable voice.....I always felt like Patti was one of my personal friends. Be safe and health Patti!
Do you have this clip which I cant find anywhere any more, it was Pattti at Divas Live, with all the other girls at the finale where I think they sang New Attitude(?) and she basically riffed the whole time. Her solo/duets are up but I cant find the finale.
