    It really depends on your area and grass type. We HAD several Exmark and Wright dealers around us and they just don't sell. 95% of what you see around here are Gravely and Scag. I've had two Scags and I got rid of them, bad welding points. Been extremely happy with my Gravely Pro Turn.

      I feel like the high demand when covid came made a lot of manufacturers make crap stuff really fast, but hey we’re just focused on pushing the everything out.

    Currently using an Airens Zoom 34" from 2008 that I bought for $300 two years ago. So far I have rebuilt both front casters, changed all the belts, changed blades, replaced the electric PTO, and installed a new camshaft (Thanks Briggs and straton/Intek) all this season. Still $200 in the hole as of now, but I don't have payments. Maybe one day I'll have a decent mower, but not today.

      If it works it works man! Don’t get too caught up in the grass cutting! Mowing isn’t where the money is.

    I mean if you become a master with the tools it doesn’t matter what tool you have because it will look great. Be the master of tools when they say practice makes perfect remember they used too do all of this manually

      Ahhh very true, but if you are trying to run a business having the right tools help. You won’t be in the business to long if your equipment keeps breaking or doing it by hand.

    I have a residential 42” bad boy sit down and I bought a 4’ claw off Amazon and I can reach everything but finding somewhere to sit the claw while mowing is the difficult part.

    Any thoughts on Bradley mower ? Seems like it’s the cheapest option for me to start up my own gig, ~6k for a new 48”

    • @briandewolfe22
      @briandewolfe22  Před 2 měsíci +2

      Best advice I could give you, is you get what you pay for, it may be cheaper now, but later on you’re gonna pay for it in maintenance.

      We've gotten quite a lot of mileage out of our Wright Stander Bs, I think new is a little more than $7k. They stripe well, are simple and tough, and easy to work on. Imo Wright only has a couple other companies that can compete when it comes to Stand Ons (Scag and Exmark). But I would say try to find a 52" instead of a 48" and use a push mower for places you can't get with it. 4" doesn't sound like a lot but the extra passes you'll end up doing over time add up.
