I love the lifting mechanism!! So much nicer than a simple helical lift.

A feature the would be cool is a Giant spider web .it would combine both a spiral and a serpentine . Keep up the good work .

    Ian,
Super nice job. I love that you challenged yourself to stay within the small space of the cabinet. Nothing beats that point when all tracks make it back home and you can do testing.
As always, thanks you for sharing and for the inspiration.

Nice one. Great result. How long ago did you start thinking "I could have built the cabinet around the sculpture"? 😂. Loads of variety thanks to the switch/gatherer etc. It seems it would take ages before it repeats.

Good question! This sculpture started with the ready made cabinet and therefore I always knew access would be tricky.

Why wouldn't you make the back glass removable.

I bought the cabinet second hand and then found that the glass could not be removed.

Nicely done, however...you have to re-visit that motor and clunky switch panel, these need to be cleaned up. Put a much smaller motor at the top so the bottom is clean and uncluttered.

Nice job !!!!! What is the copper and marble size?

Curious if you straighten the copper before bending curves or right off the roll?
