Without knowing your opionion about it, I have to say, that I love the stabilizer, its especially for video sooo much better than the one in the sony 200-600
Also I like the tripod mount over the one from sony since it clicks in 90° positions
What I really hate is the lens hood, dont know who designd this screw :/
My friend (we share lenses) decided for the sony because its lighter, not as front heavy, it doesnt extend for the zoom and the zoom ring is easier to turn, also the sony is about 16% sharper at 600mm, the sigma is sharper in low and mid range (ok it has also a lot more range) which is also a big + for me
In my opionion, if you are ok with the weight and front heavines of the sigma, go for it
And try to do 2 sec freehand shots into the sky at night, its amazing how good the stabilzer is
Hi Ber, thank your for you comment. I´m sad to read that, but I understand, my few hours with the Sigma was an Hate an Love relation, I ask my self the same about the fixing screw of the hood, I guess Sigma Thought that, "why do it simple if we you can do it complicated"...but well. About Sharpness I was struggling a little bit between the hugh difference using a Mirrorles and a Dslr, This is not the DN version, but anyway it seems to be sharper on my DSLR. And at the moment I cant say much more, I hope in a few day to have my own opinion. Big Hug and keep safe.
