Hi Mario, nice tips thank you so much. The tips are clearly helpfull, but about tip number 9 I really have fun walking alone in nature. Mario greetings and take precautions, it is said that the weather is going to get worse at the beginning of February.

HI Nature, please sorry !! I definitely didn't know how to explain myself well and I used the word "booring" poorly. Please forgive me for that. I tried to explain that an excellent source of learning is being with someone, there is always a transfer of information, and that does not exist when being alone. I never wanted to say that being alone is bad, on the contrary, it is what I do most, I always insist that it is excellent to do. I always encourage you to go out. Therefore sorry for the misunderstanding and my bad way to express an idea.

Nice Video as always!! It seems pretty cold, but also so nice. I really love the white contrast of the snow!

Greetings, Mario. Lovely to see you, and what a great backdrop for your video! Minus 10!! Swimming at minus 10 - it is Madness: they are not 'boys', they are Wildlife. The tips are appreciated, as always - they are food for thought. I have a question for you, a question about 'gear'. You use a sling-strap for your camera / long-lens. Do you have a high opinion of this carrying option? I am now going out deliberately to shoot birds (well, it's mainly one bird, actually - a Royal Spoonbill who inhabits a nearby estuary). The metering is challenging because of the quality of the background and the (long) distance i have to shoot from - either the bird's bill gets lost in the background or the feathers get blown out. I'm thinking of snorkeling.... I even wish i had a frozen estuary to slither closer on. Anyway... these are First World Problems. Good to see you out and about and have a great week. All the best from New Zealand!!!

Hello Luzr!! how good to hear from you!! I must confess that I miss a comment from you!! Luzr, regardless of what may happen with the CZcams channel, to be able to stay in touch, send me an email to (mariokilianphoto@gmail.com), I also write monthly newsletters for educational institutes, if you want I can include you, but the The most important thing is that we can have contact independent of what happens with CZcams.
Now to your question, if I use the strap, the truth is that my two options for a day of hiking are: the strap, or the monopod with the gimbal. The strap is comfortable, it is thick on the shoulder, it adjusts in length, the truth is that I am very happy.
I leave you the link in case it helps you:

On the other hand, I would love to see the photos you take of the Royal Spoonbill, it is a large and beautiful bird, we could also do that by email. A hug Luzr, I also wish you a good week.

Hello Mario, it's good that I'm sitting in a warm office with a coffee and watching your film. As always, very interesting and informative.
I hope that your photographic equipment will not freeze on these cold days.

Hi Adam !!! I hope you are Fine !!, thank you for you comment Adam. At this moment I´m at home with a nice caffe too 😁. Adam, the camera and objektive seems to have no problem with the cold weather, the only thing is that batteries runs ot fast, but that is something we know, it happens the same when we fly radio control models in winter !! I´m sure you know it. A big Hug.

Brrr 🥶 Hi Mario, it looks cold. We are the opposite, hot and humid. Some of our favourite spots are closed due to flooding. Clearly the same rules apply to hot or cold weather but some with a twist. I’m enjoying my OM-1 but still sorting through the settings.

Hi Tony, at the moment I would really love some Humidity and Hot wheater, the winter has been really hard. Locals told me that it had been a long time since there had been so much snow in this area of Germany. I just hope that when summer comes, it will be a normal summer, and not one where you are dying of heat without wanting to go out anywhere. Hava a nice weekend Tony.
