    I would not call any pickup truck "high mileage" at 127,000 miles. It's just getting broken in. Seems like a good truck. You really only described minor annoyances to be repaired, as expected. Seems like this truck is in great shape everywhere that matters!

      Agreed with your comments. My experience working for Toyota for 20 years, and appraising trade ends that were dodge trucks, I arrived at my conclusions of RAM products. What I mention in the video is what I’ve seen on over 75,000 vehicles that I have appraised common denominator with the RAM trucks. Thank you for watching the video, and your comments. I do like the engine compartment. Things are easier to replace.

    I currently drive a 92 civic eg. I got a job a few months ago and realized that I needa bigger vehicle. I’m 16 years old 6’0 and 180lbs I’m not a little guy and the civic is a little car. The Dakota seems perfect for me

      Good starter truck for you! As long as some basic maintenance was done, it should serve you well! Thanks for watching and your comments, please be sure to like and subscribe. Cheers !

      I'd try to find a second gen ('97-'04) though. The 3.9 V6 is a tank.

    My Dakota is a 2005 with the 4.7L v8 is at 129,890 miles on it and the gap on the hood can be adjusted, I spent a about an hour getting the gap even on both sides.

    • @realcarreviews6021
      @realcarreviews6021  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Yes, it takes a lot of people several hours to get the hood correct with the adjustments. Thanks for watching and your comments. Please be sure to subscribe for the latest contact. Cheers 😎

    Nice review! I just bought a 2006 slt last week. Hoping this thing lasts for awhile. Toyota Tacoma and Ford Ranger prices are so high, I decided to give Dodge a chance.

    i have a 2007 dodge Dakota slt quad cab an i love it even at 215k but the problems your having are the problems im not having an its a Oklahoma pick up an i live in the state but i did replace the door actuator an it calls for having the dash removed just to get to the last bolt but i love its got the 4.7 v8 an its 4x4 but one thing i hate about the 4.7 v8 is that 90° elbow behind the intake manifold for the driver side pcv vent tube just to buy the updated one from dodge is 700$ so i bypassed it an ran a heater hose from the driver side pcv an plumbed it to the passenger side pcv

      Thank you so much for your comments. I agree with you that everyone’s experience will be different, the issues you had with yours are different than the issues I had with the one that I reviewed. Overall, we can both agree that the engine and transmission are built well and not given, either one of us any issues or most owners out there any issues. The issues I had was with the finish and certain areas of the truck. Again, thank you for watching and your comments. Please be sure to subscribe for the content. 🙏🏼😎👍🏼

    Did you have a transmission temp warning light on your dash when you had your transmission issues?

    • @realcarreviews6021
      @realcarreviews6021  Před rokem +1

      Didn’t keep the truck long enough to see the transmission temperature be an issue. Only bought it for the video and resold it immediately. Thanks for watching and your comments. Please be sure to subscribe for the latest content.

    If you live on East Coast of Florida then you will get rust on your vehicles.

      look up the KBB before you buy anything. you’ll know the value of it and factor any potential problems you notice about it with the cost to buy the part and the labor.
