Brilliant podcast brother yer absolutely bang on about today's young generation jumping on the mental health card at the least little thing it's more like lazyitis most of them are not prepared to work hard enough to get what they want they expect it to be handed to them

I have this argument with my son about being able to have the piss ragged out of you. It's not only a good laugh, it's necessary. Since retiring from the Police, it's what I miss most.
I had a similar trajectory and timeline to Terry, but went a different way. Enjoyed the clubs, but never did drugs. Joined the Army reserves, then the Police.
Having the piss taken out of me, and taking the piss out of others is a great leveller. I count myself as sane because of it.
By the way, rise of the footsoldier remains to this day my all time favourite film of all time. It's got everything, humour, drama, realistic relationships and a cracking storyline. The actors were brilliant, all of them. Even that bird from 'the only way is Essex!'

Mansion House in Worthing got a mention. Went there one night, but many weekends at Club labyrinth at Four Aces club in Dalston Lane, Helter Skelter in Milton Keynes etc. Good times. Skibadee is no longer with us? I didn't know. DJ Hype & Skiba one of my all time favourites.

Well said. Would have loved to have seen him in the house scene, but the garage scene and the indoor rave scene died when he packed it in. Tel, out of the two raves you had, A) which music did you prefer, B) was Garage Nation much bigger than One nation or were they both as big as one another?

I’ll be honest, before watching this interview, I always found Terry’s personality to come across as a bit of a wannabe gangster/hard man but hearing his back story in the way you allowed Liam, has opened my eyes to the real Terry Stone and what a staunch chap he comes across to be. Great work as always.

Great podcast i was a raver in the 90s loved the music and the pills. I remember going to a place called the institute digbeth for a drum and bass night the atmosphere was horrible people were smoking crack in there just a horrible experience i said to my mate lets go find somewhere else someone said go to wobble got in about 1am and had one of the best nights of my life and ended up in Coventry at a house party until Sunday morning. He's right certain people just brought drama to the scene

Interesting you mentioned 'Sterns'. My father opened that club in late 70s but left while the underground extension was being built in 1986/7. I guess your memory of it was from the rave days that came later

I’d love either you or Tel to get Jimmy Flint on. I’ve met him a few times at my friend’s cafe, and he’s a lovely chap. As well as his boxing career, he’s been in some great films, especially his stuff with the late Ron Peck, not to mention his small but memorable role in the first Footsoldier film. His Wapping Assassin channel is great, but I’d love to see you or Terry interview him. Another great video by the way Liam, thanks 👍🏻

Always tried to get on a flyering team back in the days of lazerdrome and club uk..terry turbo was already a legend back then and ro be on his team was an honour for any raver..can't believe he wrote the scene magazine..awesome after rave while your buzzing read and awesome afterwards for a months worth of roach 😅😅😅
