Reputation was an album totally aimed for all critics, other celebs who talk shit. The whole thing was a fucking masterpiece. My most favorite album of hers, EVER.

I hope she never lets any of them, or others like them, bring her down. She's an amazing artist. Singer, songwriter, plays I don't know how many musical instruments, and has her hand on every aspect of her career now. I hope her star just keeps on shining.

@@tkraft82 Yes, it is. And no, it doesn't. My current fave though, is Vigilante Shit. She burns Scooter to the ground in that one. But honestly, just about everything she's done since she came back from the self imposed exile instigated by being set up, has just been phenomenal. I keep hearing people say that she's "leaning into" the lies and criticisms. I don't think so. She slithered right into that "snake" skin, and wears it proudly now. And I couldn't be happier for her.

I was at the Reputation Stadium Tour and seeing this live was beyond words. I left thinking I'll never see a better show than this. Until I went to the Eras Tour and she blew her Reputation Tour out of the water. Her performance of this song at Eras, dare I say, may have outdone this performance.
I actually thought Rep was better than Eras. It was too much of a good thing. But she's awesome regardless. And the Rep section of Eras was superior too.
From the videos I've seen so far, I'd prefer to see the rep tour. But I don't know if the eras tour is better live

If you watch the full concert, you find out at the verrrrry end that she had a COLD during the whole show. Because eventually her nose is running too much or something and a stage hand has to pass her a tissue, so she admits it with some embarrassment. This kind of performance with a COLD?!?! Now that’s what makes me crazy.

I was there when they filmed this @ At&T Stadium in Arlington, TX for the Netflix Special . I was on the floor, back row center stage. I could feel the heat when the flames went off during the concert. Best concert I have been to in my life. I love the rep Era!!!

I’m really curious what you’ll think about her earlier stuff now that you have an appreciation for her lyricism and excellent songwriting craft. You’re on a similar journey I went on, but once I *got it* her earlier discography opened up to me. I still don’t love her first two albums but you really can see the seeds of genius even in her debut album. I would recommend working your way backwards through her albums. Go to 1989 next (yes the “white t-shirt” one) and start with “Blank Space”. She wrote it from the perspective of her public image of being a crazy serial dater that can’t keep a man. I also recommend you check out her Grammy museum and NPR Tiny Desk performances, they’re all solo acoustic and so good. It could be a good way for you to hear the songs that have turned you off from her in the past, there’s something about the acoustic versions that allow you to appreciate the song underneath all the production.
