- I love huge riding sessions and the Playground is the best place ever for it, because we now have 3 working lines of dirt jumps and the quarter pipe to ride and try tricks on. Daryl Brown and Sam Reynolds are some of the best mountain bike pro riders in the UK, so it made sense at this point in the build to get some pros riding the jumps and testing the new trails lines with me! 3 dirt jump bikes, 3 epic jump lines and 3 attempts to land them all first go was the challenge here. Enjoy the action,

Edit: got a lot of action on my comment in a rather quick time, hopefully Matt sees this🤞🏻would be proper cool to see them both ride the playground

Sam Pilgrim or Bernard Kerr i reckon...Bernard just seems to be good at reading trails and jumps and is smooth as silk, and Sam can ride a unicycle with a buckled wheel over a road gap with his eyes closed like its normal haha

Matt should clean of the wax on the surf board and mix some grit sand into a clear coat of paint and paint the board to give it some grip and make it actually rideable and it won't ruin the look like grip tape would

Matt I'd love to see the intro drone clip be updated to the current progress of the playground. i know this would have been a lot of work but imagine if EVERY episode had an Up to date drone shot of the playground with you walking with the shovel
I think it's a nice reminder each time what this place used to look like but maybe an updated intro every 5 or 10 episodes would work
I think if they merged them together so it start with how it was and as it fly's in it changes to how it is now.

Tom Cardy, the man is basically the equivalent to surgeon on a MTB, super techy stuff, would be awesome to see him try it...
There is also, this other guy, toothless EnglishMan, guy has endless enthusiasm. Would probably ride all 3 lines on a EBike with flat tyres and a steering wheel instead of bars.

I mentioned it under surf board episode, but will try again here - you should try putting clear coat paint and while still wet sprinkle it with sand on the surf board, instead of wax.
It will create good grip on the surface and will be very durable.

Watching Matt guess at the Farenheit temperatures is hilarious! In a few episodes he has said "i think that's like a hundred degrees" and in both cases it was like mid 80's which would be perfect weather here in Texas. It's like when the interviewers at an event/race ask the contestants what tire pressures they are running and they say something in Bars and the interviewer has a look on their face like "I have no idea what that means".

@@98hamish Most people who live in Texas live in very humid areas. For example, Houston currently has 81% humidity and Austin has 61% humidity. The drier western Texas is much less inhabited.

Sam has the ability to make a put down sound like a compliment. His tone of voice is soothing, yet his words are bullets.
Hello Matt/Ben, namer of "The Slab" here, ... Another tip from a longtime surfer: On that surfboard get some of that foam traction we use for our feet and clean that wax off and adhere some front foot surfboard traction pads on there! The grip on your tires will be amazing! 👍
i surf a lot and still reckon clear skate griptape would be the best option

Matt you need to build a sign that says “fix your divot’s”
Meaning when you case and make a divot you fix it
Just like when a golfer misses a swing and takes a chunk of grass out of the ground making a divot
I work/have worked at a handful of courses and this is a perfect suggestion!

Episode 2, he mentioned making a right hip on the first jump as well. But I think the roll in going the other way would be a better idea.

Re: That longboard wallride: Try a set of longboard traction pads (front & rear)for the surfboard. It's pretty hard-wearing and grippy stuff and most likely a better solution than grip tape.
it is damn near impossible to get a grip pad to actually stick after you waxed up that area
surfboard wax never fully comes off the surfboard, the pads would be gone in a week
@@natebutler7996 heat gun and a plastic auto body scraper. It sucks but it can be done.

I'm so glad spent so much time on Pipeline... I was always disappointed that the bridge hip/transfer got so ignored ever since first built.

I love the surfboard feature but I think a little wooden slightly curved wallride there would be perfect in the future you could even paint a wave on it lol

Looks so fun, if you changed the surfboard out for a wooden berm it looks like you could really carry the speed for more 🤘🏼 also would be sick to see Sam pilgrim there
For extra grip on the surfboard put a layer of clear paint with 80 grit sand, so you can still see the board clearly but you’ll have grip

31 Celsius is a nice cool day here in Phoenix Arizona, we regularly hit 46 celcius. And we don’t have loamy dirt, it’s all kitty litter and rocks that hold on to the heat. Love your hilarious commentary man, keep it up.

What I would do on the surf board is paint it and add in sand as a mix in order to have some grip on the board would almost be like a skateboard surfboard and you could paint the helfare logo directly in the middle and have people who complete the line sign it with their signature.
How about "The Starlet".Full speed, Transfer Right Off The Step-Down, Booooost Off the Quarter back, into the southern hemisphere and all the way to The vale, mateee.
