The movie is directed by Mani Ratnam and music is by the legend A. R. Rahman. "This song sends a message to spread peace across the world, and the hope that there be no war causing death and destruction all around.

Lovely song based on ragam Hamsadhwani by ARR…whenever U listen to Hamsadhwani it is always “Hum Sad Nahi”.
A very simple song, sung very nicely. Everything was under control including Madhu’s hair (tied for a change :-). Looking dapper and impeccable in whites…Madhu was like a symphony orchestra conductor carrying her
co-singers and musicians along with her, to the heights of musical serenity. The wave of the hands with the sodakku adding spice to the graceful singing.
A different look and feel in Madhu’s appearance…can’t make out what it is …may be the camera angles or may be due to the all white attire…
If it is white…it is pure and unadulterated like:
