      Brenda Chown I did too! Of course when I paid for their flight is was simply for the price. At that time they had already had several bad stories, mainly the one where they *dragged* and doctor off the flight after he refused to give up his seat, since he had a patient to see. My flight attendants were extremely nice (on United) and it’s a shame that other “professionals” ruined that trust.

      Most people would realize that this was a mistake made by a single person, not an entire company, which is probably why she accepts the apology. While this person represents the company, based on how big the company is they probably don't have tabs on every single employee they have. However, I don't disagree with your last point. I do believe there should be consequences for this flight attendant, and they should have to apologize, personally, to the passenger.

      +Samantha Trewyn If that had been anywhere else here in the UK he would either be severely reprimanded or lost his job, because the business would have (& rightly so) lost trust / faith in his ability to remain professional at all times. You will also witness another flight attendant in that conversation saying 'I'm sorry but you must get off of the flight'. Had i been a flight attendant I would have told him to do his own dirty work regardless of whether he was my superior & if necessary waited for the 'big meeting' where I could have put my point across. The only way I would even come close to accepting that apology would be in the knowledge that disgusting, egotistical, bigoted idiot no longer worked with the passengers, so no one else would ever have to experience that.

      I don't fly West Jet very often because I don't fly around that area very often, but when I was like 7 maybe 8, we were sitting in the very back, and the flight attendants were AWESOME. They gave my mom free drinks, they gave me snacks for free when ever I wanted and the best part was the flight was 5 hours. :P

    I had a terrible experience with continental airlines. We were waiting for our turn for departure for more than an hour and a half, and I had to go to the bathroom. We hadn’t moved for more than an hour. Once I took off my seatbelt so I could get up and see if I could actually go to the bathroom, a flight attendant came running and yelling at the top of her lungs that since I had gotten up, she would have to talk to the pilot to turn the plane around and we would go to the back of the line for departure. Since this was 10 years ago, no one defended me, on the contrary, they all looked angrily at me, meanwhile, I just stood there and the lady just kept on yelling (I was FOURTEEN and alone). After about 10 minutes of her just straight up yelling and saying how I ruined everyone’s flight, she went back to the back of the plane, I sat down obviously crying, and the plane took off. We didn’t go to the back of the line like she said we would have to. So I guess she needed a punching bag and I was the easy target.

    I hate American Airlines I had the worst experience with them. I was going on vacation and we had two connecting flights to get where we were going. Well the first plane ride was 4 hours and it took off at six so we got up at 4:00 am. Well, the flight was delayed like 3 times and we didn't get on until 9:00 am. Then we missed our connection and had to get on a different plane but with our luck it was full so we had to wait for like 5 hours until there was finally a plane we could get on. Then, when we finally arrived at our destination at 1:00 am, mind you there is a 7 year old and an 11 year old too, we had to wait an extra 30 minutes for our bags because the American Airlines employees were on break and didn't feel like flipping a single switch. So the poor children were practically passed out on the floor, waiting for the one employee that finally flipped the switch so we could get our bags and go, then on top of everything that happened, since we got to our destination so late, there were no good hotels left, so we ended up in a crusty old,cheap motel for the night. Worst. Experience. Ever.

    I wouldn’t have accepted their apology until that flight attendant was fired. If I am ever on a plane where a flight attendant does something shady like this of make their life hell as long as they were stuck in the air with me

    well did they get in contact with the REST of the passengers from that flight? The ones who were going 'boo' and even the one guy who say VERY CLEARLY in the tape "that's the last time i fly american"
    because they should apologize to those people for being an inconvenience and giving them a reason to not trust the airline customer service.
    I wouldn't travel that airline at all.

      I worked for United as a Gate Agent for 3 years, sadly Flights Attendants/Gate Agents can be this way. If he had a bad day and felt like targeting her to blow off some steam because she did something totally harmless.. He can deny her boarding and get her kicked of.
      Working for an Airline is highly stressful job. I feel bad for her, but I've seen this happen many times. Innocent people being mistreated.

      jessica campbell What if (and I mean what IF) she was actually rude to him, is that reason enough to kick someone out of a plane, altogether, and have them wait hours to get on the next plane, and embarrass them? Does that explain him sending some female attendant to go get her? (it takes some calm and thought process to decide to send a female staff member to go deal with a female passenger in a specific seat to ask that person to get out, probably to avoid any claims of harassment).
      The pilot _claims_ she said something rude to him (with zero proof). How do you decide to believe that it may be true, but you don't think it could be a lie?
      I'm sorry, but, you don't have a point, here. You shouldn't be defending that airline guy. It makes you look bad.

      +Senam Lawson you obviously don't have a lot of experience with Shady females because I know plenty that will be a complete hunt and then play victim when they're called out. he may have felt hypothetically that she would use his gender against him that's why he decided to get a female flight attendant. wanting to know both sides of a story before making a final judgment does not make anyone look bad but taking one side over one story like you did does

    This getting to be common incident among U.S. carriers. Who say's customer service is dead? You have the right to remain seated and silent, anything you say or do will considered aggressive behavior. FAA regulation 91:11 interference with a crew member duties will be subject to arrest or expulsion from the aircraft. Have a nice day!

    for some reason this reminds me of a time that I was at the water park with my friend. We were in line for one of the slides and the life guard told us that we could set up our raft but we had to wait for him to say it was okay to go. so we waited about 5-6 minutes until he waved at us so we obviously thought we were supposed to go until he starts running over to us ( BTW their was a sign right next to us saying don't run so he broke his own rule😂) and yelling "STOP STOP STOP" so we're holding on to the railing trying not to go down the slide and he's giving us a big long lecture about how we could've killed the people in front of us and girls our age should've known better bla bla bla. and this part was what made me so mad so he told us "this is your one warning if I see you break so much as one more rule you're going to have to leave the park and explain to your parents why you can't have fun for the rest of the night"😠
    please don't say that this was so off topic and don't swear at me I was just saying what I thought this reminds me of

    I flew American last year out to Phoenix to visit a friend I was so apprehensive because it was a 5 hour nonstop and right around the time when several of these incidents had happened. I hadn't been on a plane for 10 years. My fears were groundless. Everyone from the flight crew to some of my fellow passengers were absolutely wonderful to me. I'm elderly and have a few health issues, but am pretty capable of getting around I just tire very easily the flight out and the flight back were remarkable. When we landed on my return trip, the wheelchair I'd requested to get through the airport was right at the door of the plain and I was out front to meet my ride home in no time. I'm lucky I guess because even going through security was not very hard . I'm sorry that there all these problems nowadays I flew extensively in the 80s and 90s and don't ever remember anything like this happening Of course that was before 9/11. That certainly changed everything.
