Just buy a C4! Vacuum accessories is what make the C3 so unique! With some basic knowledge and routine maintenance I’ve found them to be very reliable. The biggest issue is fifty years of neglect.
After all the time and money spent on new vacuum hoses and actuator in your previous video...........well, now you realized you should have done this first! Great video, I got the same kit for my '69. The headlight conversion kit works well, too.......you'll want that next.
Sometimes keeping things original is not the best way to go. You would think by now I would know that. LOL So far my headlights work great. As soon as they start messing up I will be converting them to electric actuators for sure. Thanks for watching and the comment. I really appreciate it. Enjoy your 69.
Looks good and works fast. The motor mount does seem to move a little, but as you said, it’s not something that will be used a lot.
Thanks for the video and look at this product. I’m sticking with the vacuum system, for now…
I didn't notice that when I edited the video so i went back and watched it. I don't like it moving I that. When I get a chance I'm going to try re-enforcing it. If you get a chance email me: mdurbin57@hotmail.com I would like to talk to you about your car. Thanks, Mark
If the angle of the arm is below horizontal- it will eliminate the flex totally. You'll notice on my videos the force to open the door is handled by the leverage czcams.com/video/ScPvtbNtLAY/video.html
@@timewiththedurbins I’ll try to check and let you know, but might be best to text me a photo of exactly what you need. You have my # 818-271… Kalani
@MrRichard454, I will check to see what the angle is on mine. I noticed there are 2 holes where the pivot arm bolts onto the motor shaft. What is the center to center distance between the motor shaft hole and the door shaft? I think I purchased the unit you sell on Ebay. It looks the same as yours.
Thank you! Great video!
Thank you for the kind words. Have a great day.
Quick question: does this all connect up to the actual wiper button, or do you have to drill a hole and install your own button somewhere?
I really enjoy all of your videos. My question is what did you hook in to for your power source ? The wire is pretty short . Thanks
That was cool to watch 👍
Thanks. When are you coming down for a visit?
When gas is $2.00 a gallon, AGAIN!!!!!!! LOL
I won't be seeing you for a while then. LOL
Forget the car. I want that shop. Once the Vette is gone, I have bigger plans.
That is why I purchased the property. My wife said that I didn't even look at the house. I told her I don't care what the house looked like. I as far as I'm concerned, I can live in a tent, but I can't work on my car in one. LOL
Nice! I did notice that the rod that moves to activate the wipers rubs the vacuum hose? going thru firewall. Prob not an issue since won’t be used often, just thot I’d mention 😊
Good eye. I did not notice the hose rubbing. I will fix that. The hose is actually the windshield washer hose for the passenger side wiper and is currently not in use. I plan on hooking the washer system up in the future. Thanks for watching.
Excellent Video! How did the motor hold up?
I normally try not to drive in the rain but so far it has worked well when I have needed it. I have probably used it a total of 6 times. I am very happy with the performance of the unit.
Where does it wire in for power? Battery or fuse panel?
Jeff
I connected my power wire to the wiper motor power wire.
Adding complication to a part that can work perfectly if you understand how it should work.
I figured in the long run I will be better off without all the vacuum lines that can start leaking. When my headlight actuators quit working, I will replace that system with electric actuators as well.
@@timewiththedurbins Yeah, I forgot, electric systems never fail, wires don’t break or fray their insulation. Leaky old vacuum systems have high failure rates.
Anything man made can fail. Have a great day.
What was the part number for this assembly on Amazon thanks
I do not know what the part number would be on Amazon, I purchased this assembly on Ebay. I included information on my Ebay purchase in the video description. There was not a part number in the Ebay listing so the only information I could provide was the item name and the name of the seller. Sorry I'm not able to provide any additional information.
You can find my product on ebay or at Custom Image Corvette
Thanks for the information.
