I dont think the problem is how loud they are. With Queen songs you hear different parts with each earbud. Especially with Bohemian Rhapsody. So if you share you are each missing parts. Be better to just do without if both of you are listrning.

Marggie is correct, Queen studio work is heard best with both earbuds/headphones because panning or flipping different sounds from one side to the other is part of the overall effect they were building. Trust us, you will thank us for it !

Hi from the UK 🇬🇧. If I may? Don’t rise to peoples negative comments. In truth when I first started watching your reactions to Queen I found you a bit much. I’m a female black Brit and we Brits are subtle in most ways. But it’s my decision to continue to watch your reactions. People forget that as you are learning about Queen, we are learning about you. Most comments are meant as constructive criticism by us Queen fans. Though not a big deal for me, for other reactions to Queen without headphones is sacrilege. If you try to please everyone, you’ll end up pleasing no one and loose who you are in the process. Just do you. People who don’t accept you and / or your reactions will move on. Great reaction so far. Gonna continue now. Take care. Stay safe and healthy.

@@marggie4129 Hey 👋 I didn’t read anyone’s post just his response. I was just trying to let him know that it might seem as being mean but it’s constructive criticism. To be able to grow mentally, psychologically and emotionally we should be able to handle constructive criticism. That’s part of how I learn and grow. I also mentioned that we Queen fan are a nice family around the world. Not that some of the comments aren’t going to be totally uncalled for. I even mentioned that at the beginning I found him too much however, I chose to continue to watch his reactions because I’ve learnt to embrace how he reacts. There are some reactors that are a no no. I just reminded him that as he is learning about Queen, we are learning about him. I wasn’t taking a dig at anyone I was trying to say different people have different foibles so the best for him is to be him. Not for a second was I taking a jab at anyone. You have your reasons to comment and you owe no one an explanation.

No one could command a crowd like Freddie. Remember, this was not a Queen concert. They were a list minute add in so they weren’t even on the bill. Side note, Freddie was told not to perform this show due to the fact that he had a throat infection. The man was sick and still sang like that. Legend!

I saw Queen live in Montreal, it was one of the best concerts ever. Freddie was the master of crowd control. More than 83,000 people in that stadium with half a million more watching live, he held the world in the palm of his hands for 20 minutes that day. It is great to see younger generations experience the music of my generation.

When you talk about the size of the audience there was reckoned to be about 1.9 BILLION watching worldwide at the time when there was approximately 5 Billion on the planet, that 4 in every 10 people alive then watched this concert for famine relief in Africa.

  • @sharonallforloveandpositiv5497

Unfortunately today's generation do not realise great music. When bands wrote and composed their own songs. Played their own instruments. Today they are spoilt by computers doing the music for them which takes out the genius of actual instruments and playing them. Freddie even said this in the 80s that one day the magic would be taken out of music and computers would take over. These bands played all live. No autotune back then...no playback. Most concerts by performers today are sung a lot via playback and autotune help. They do not do 43 odd concert tours. Live Aid had each band perform in a 17 minute or so set. Most other bands played up to 3 songs..Queen practiced and rehearsed to fit 6 songs in. This is why it's voted best live concert. Their catalogue is massive and widely sung today...30, 40 odd years on. I can't think of many today who will be remembered like Queen or prince or MJ etc. Not in 50 years time. This is music. There is no teaching today's youngsters what proper music is. They have been brought up in a different generation of "music".

The guitar that Dr. Brian May (Ph.D. in Astrophysics) is playing is called the Red Special. Brian built it with the help of his father in his late teens (age 16-18). He couldn't afford the type of guitar he wanted so he designed and built it. The design he created was so advance of anything available at that time (the mid-1960s) the many of the innovations were added to the design of other electric guitars. For example, it features three single-coil pick-ups (most guitar only have 1 pick-up) that are wired in series rather than the more usual parallel configuration. (A guitar pickup is a device that converts the vibrations of guitar strings into electrical signals. These signals are then sent to a guitar amplifier, which boosts them to audible volumes.). There are switches for each pick-up that allows him to switch each pick-up in or out of phase while playing to create different sounds.
He built it so well that it is now over 50-year-old and has traveled with him all over the world (the change in air pressure from flying can cause guitars to breakdown) yet the Red Special has never had to be rebuilt and Brian still uses it today. The name Red Special came from the reddish-brown color the guitar attained after being stained.

I love seeing younger generations loving Freddy and queen like we did in my day. I was 16 years old on the day of this concert. I sat down early in the morning and watched live aid from beginning to end and recorded every bit of it. To this day really the only performances I remember are queen, Madonna, Duran Duran, mick Jager with Tina turner, And George Michael with Elton John. All the other big name ex came to this concert without rehearsing and honestly did half butt work. they didn’t realize what an impact this was going to have. But queen rehearsed and came to this concert ready and prepared. Also I remember everybody else performance has been quieter. One of the sound engineers for queen actually turned all the microphones and the sound equipment for the instrument up and that’s what made queen louder. They were used to playing large stadiums like that because they went to South America a couple years before and sold out big huge soccer arenas in Brazil and Argentina. So Freddy knew how to work the crowd better than anybody. This was the best rock live performance in history and always will be. I remember Freddie was the first single 45 that I ever is in sixth grade and a boy gave me and it vinyl record which is a single which we called 45s of queens another one bites the dust.Still have that record at my parents house. I love your enthusiasm and love for queen! Keep up the great reactions! Ignore the haters! That’s the best life advice I can give anyone no matter what age.

What your cousin needs to realise is that Queen only decided to play at the Live Aid concert at the last minute. The crowd, about 79 thousand people in the stadium, were there to see other bands but Freddie and the guys had them all in the palm of their hands. Queen killed the show for anybody who followed them on stage. Elton John told them as much when they went off Stage, David Bowie, I think, just said "Bastards" as he was getting ready to go on.
The reason they didn't sing all of Bohemian Rhapsody was because each artist only had around 20 minutes to perform so BH would have eaten a big chunk out of their slot. Also, did you know that Brians' red guitar is a home made one of a kind.
That last shot of the crowd was of JFK Stadium Philly where the American part of Live Aid took place. Phil Collins played Wembley then flew by Concord to the US to play at Philly too.

About Brian May's guitar: The Red Special is the electric guitar designed and built by Queen's guitarist Brian May and his father, Harold, when Brian was a teenager in the early 1960s.[1][2] The Red Special is sometimes referred to as the Fireplace or the Old Lady by May and by others.[3] The name Red Special came from the reddish-brown colour the guitar attained after being stained and painted with numerous layers of Rustins Plastic Coating.[4] The name Fireplace is a reference to the fact that the wood used to make the neck came from a fireplace mantel.[2]
A guitar that would define May's signature style, it was intentionally designed to feed back[3][5] after he saw Jeff Beck playing live and making different sounds just by moving the guitar in front of the amplifier. He wanted an instrument that would be alive and interact with him and the air around him. May has used the Red Special almost exclusively, including on Queen albums and in live performances, since the band's advent in the early 1970s.

That guitar is The Red Special, hand-built with his father when Brian May was a teenager... it is completely unique, although Brian now has his own line of guitars built as copies and for sale at fairly reasonable prices as guitars go.

Many of us watched in our living rooms globally. Queen stole the show!! Today the crowd would txt or hold their phones and not be in the Moment! BTW your relative in the backseat couldn't stop from moving to radio ga-ga. Thank you for passing on the legendary Queen. 72,000 crowd. crazy 🤪 You heard this from a young 63 yr. old. I was born in 1964, the year The Beatles ruled the world. I grew up with the first albums of Queen. Freddie Mercury was the best performer, but also the best songwriter that has ever lived. His Bohemian Rhapsody is probably the best song ever written!

Behind the scenes, the producers were asking themselves, "What are they doing?"
    They're stealing the show.
They got the most prime time slot for the British side of this international performance. They also got a few minutes longer than anyone else.
    AND
Freddie and Brian came out one more time and did two more songs. No other act got that. Reactors I see don't react to that "encore".
On a side note. They are the highest educated rock band of all time. Three have at least a Bachelors, and Brian has a Masters in Aerospace. Yes, he is a rocket scientist. When you watch the many behind the scenes videos where they explain recording some of the classics with only the equipment and technology that existed at the time. Genious.

All four completed their chosen higher education plans. Brian a Masters then returned for his PhD in 2007...believe Deaky has Engineering Masters, Roger a Bachelors in Biology, Freddie an Art Diploma. They didn't use excess time . They were right on time. Freddie picked the time slot realising it best for world wide viewing. Freddie and Brian did only ONE extra song....there was a planned 2 song encore - Freddie and Brian with "Is This The World We Created". and Paul McCartney. the other. (Don't remember which Beatle song but the sound system malfunctioned on him . . . . however the entire 72,000+ joined in and it was wonderful.) I think I'm right on all this...sorry if not.

You should react to the Live Wembley concert 1986. It's a lot longer than this, and shows a lot of crowd participation, along with some great performances of their great songs. If not, you can react to the songs from this concert individually. And some other songs, Dont stop me now, white queen, Who wants to live forever", "we will rock you" We are the champions" live they usually played the together.

Back when: no flames shooting up, no guitar smashing to hype the audience! Back when there weren’t even screens on the side so people in the back could see him! If you were half way back Freddie was an ant on stage! BEST PERFORMING ARTIST OF ALL TIME. They didn’t need all of the stuff musicians need now to command a stage or entertain the audience! Just a band and GREAT music! Thats perfection!

At a normal concert bohemian rhapsody would be performed in its entirety, however at LiveAid artists were only given 18 minutes roughly to perform a set and they were told by bob geldof to make it popular songs and since rhapsody is a 6 minute song that would have eaten up too much time of there set. Check out one of their live renditions of that song to see how they do it .

I know James Hatfield is no Freddie Mercury, but if you want to see a huge crowd and a great life performance, try Metallica life in Moscow 1991. you could review the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert from Wembley. All the top bands of the era took part and it was wonderful to seuch love expressed for him. I truely believe he spent his life looking for love. Brian Mays guitar was made by him and his dad. Its called his red special and he is still playing it. He customised it and its a unique sound. He made it out of a victorian fireplace and some old wood. He is the best guitarist in the world currently. Live aid was a charity show that involved all the top groups of the era raising money for the people of ethiopia who were in a dire famine.
