- In today's video, myself @kayyywild and @lespoirdemavie rented some boats to go across the Phewa lake in Pokhara, Nepal. We then went on a mad adventure into the foothills of Pokhara in search of the World Peace Pagoda. A long the way we met some super friendly locals and ended off the day at the second largest Shiva statue in Nepal! This is what you can find and what happens in the foothills of Pokhara, Nepal 🥰

Hey everyone! Hope you are doing well 😊 Sorry for the late upload, I’m struggling with slow Internet in Pokhara.. trying my best! Hope you enjoy this video, it’s very random but it was a fun one ☺️ Just a couple more to go until we start our first Trekking mini series! Look forward to reading your wonderful comments. Much Love ❤️
Amazing to see your channel continuing to grow mate, keep it up!
18:30 she said the ones she is picking, yo jhar, yo means this and jhar/ghas means unnecessary grass/weed is for buffalo and keeping the kodo means millet for it to grow.
Always love watching your video. It’s so nice to see u guys enjoying with local people and taking interest in what they are doing. Brings smile on my face. Enjoy your stay in Nepal 🇳🇵🙏🏻😊
Amazing, thanks so much for the information! It all makes sense now haha. So happy you are loving the videos! You’re going to love the ones coming next week. Much love 🙏❤️
@@TheJourneyofJosh Can’t wait 😊
Ganesh, son of Lord Shiva had to compete with his brother Kumaar for 'first god to be worshipped before worshipping other gods' by going around the world and whoever came first that particular god would be worshipped first. Ganesh big in size with his vehicle mouse couldn't compete with his brother whose vehicle was peacock so he went around his father and mother and won competition because father and mother are the bigger world. Lord Ganesh is worshipped before every worshipping.
Thanks for the information! I need to learn more haha
despite being from pokhara i would love if you visit lumbini(birth place of lord gautam buddha who is the founder of buddhism) ...like the area is literally very big that one day is not enough to visit all places there..there are over more then 150 beautifully made monasteries in different architecture which will surprise you i also visited recently and it is mindblowing..i suggest to go there
Quite a few people have suggested it now, definitely have it down for my next visit to Nepal ☺️ thanks for the suggestion
Pokharo looks so good!! Is visiting Nepal worth it!? ❤
It’s gorgeous! Definitely 100% worth visiting ❤️
Do visit the Gurkha Memorial museum in Pokhara if you have time and , visit a Gurkha training centre where you'll meet old veterans training many young men hoping to join the British Army. By the way, the fruit wasn't palm- it's plum (a type of green plum called lapsi or the hog plum)
Thanks for the information, it was delicious! I do plan to visit a Gurkha training center in the future to make a video but it will take a bit of planning
The lake looks beautiful - loved the video Josh ❤
There's a reason behind Lord Ganesh's statue was revolving around The Lord Shiva's statue. (Lord Shiva has 2 sons Ganesh and kartikeya, They were told to revolve around the world and whoever was first to revole he would get the mango and when the race starded kartikeya flew with his pet peacock but Ganesh simply revolved around Lord Shiva his father making his father his whole world and yeah they were racing for a mango)
Thanks for the information, always learning 😊
The interaction with those lovely women was so funny. Gave me a good laugh. She was saying jhaar by the way which means grass.
the locals are very friedly, but man, i dont know how you made it rowing by yourself ill be like noo .. lol i tried kayaking w my sister before we couldnt figure out which direction to go we were going round in circles..lol very nice view..thats cool thst coffee shops are everywhere on your hike.. dang im in heaven..heheh
They are always so lovely here! I don't know how I made it either haha, I guess I just didn't want to be stranded in the middle of a lake and have to get rescued 😂
Nice to know your Chanel 😊I will be your fan. I have been there since 2019 before covid and not have a chance there again. Your vlog make me missing there🥹

There's a fun park in pokhara near the lake side similar to that of kathmandu you should check it outt
Yeah I mentioned it in my first impressions video 😊, didn’t make a video though as it’s essentially the same thing. Did the roller skating though!
Yeah I guess that's a plus in Pokharas fun park. I almost broke my back trying roller skating there but I am glad you're exploring the more traditional side of pokhara! Love your videos.
30:14 That's Plum. Nepali plum named as 'lapsi'
I need to get my hearing tested 😂 Thanks for the information 😊
@@TheJourneyofJosh No, it's okay! I think he couldn't convey to you the correct word! Maybe the pronunciation!

Here is a brief meaning of ornaments that Shiva wears.
Rudraksha Mala: Represents spirituality and meditation.
Tripundra: Three horizontal lines symbolize creation, preservation, and destruction.
Chandra: Crescent moon symbolizes the passage of time and life's cycles.
Vibhuti: Sacred ash represents purity, penance, and the transient nature of life.
Snake Necklace: Serpent signifies Kundalini energy, fertility, and protection.
Kundalas: Earrings symbolize spiritual knowledge and inner balance.
Each ornament carries deep symbolic significance, reflecting Shiva's divine attributes and cosmic role in Hindu mythology.
Thanks so much for the information! I am still learning 😊

At 42:04, It is said in one of the Hindu puranas that Ganesh was once challenged to circle the whole wide world by his brother Kumar. Cheeky Ganesh chose to revolve around his parents and call it a day while Kumar went on a voyage. The reason being that the parents mean the whole world to Ganesh. Kinda cringe ngl but it means the revolving Ganesh is canon. :D
I see! 😄 Thanks for the religion lesson on canon Hinduism 😊 makes sense now!
Namaste 🙏 i am watching your video form Qatar Namaste 🙏 🇳🇵❤️
Namaste! Thank you so much for the support! ❤️
I am watching Sons of Anarchy and Game of thrones u speak game of thrones acent so U r from UK 😂😂😂😂😂
As long as you can understand what I’m saying 😂
According to Hindu methodology, it believes there was a competition to do circle of the world. At that time Ganesh did circle around Shiva and Parbati. who are the parents of Ganesh and Kumar. After came back Ganesh was asked why you did circle around Shiva and Parbati instead of doing around the world. Ganesh replied my parents are the world for me who gave birth to me to see this world. I think that’s why Ganesh is making circle around shiva in this statue😊
Thanks for the information, always learning 😊
17:06 most of the young nepali girls from village areas they fell shy with new people to talk. So please dont feel bad when they dont talk back to you sir 😊😊 🙏🇳🇵

Actually Lord Shiva is destroyer of all Evils. People worship Lord Shiva because he takes our all negative vibrations and absorb it leaving us with only positve good peaceful vibes. Lord Shiva protects us from all evil of the worlds and destroying demons inside humans.
