Hi, we are Stephen, Jess and little Hunter, a traveling family who spent 2020 self-converting a van before moving in full-time to drive around our home country of Australia. We have now completed our lap, said our goodbyes, and resumed full-time travel before we wait for our second baby to arrive.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! Thanks so much for your patience as we took some time off over the holidays but we cannot believe this is our 9th annual Christmas special!! this one was definitely extra special having a little one celebrate his very first Christmas plus with Hunter it has just become even more magical!

We had our own Joey bears first christmas at 6-9 weeks old , and his first roadtrip down the coast for new Years

15:55- I like how 3-year-old Hunter already knows that any snow from Santa's boots would have instantly melted but, for whatever reason, Santa appears to have tracked white powder into the house! Good job!

Yes they do! But most presents are practical like towels and learning books with some toys and plushies popped in!!
Your recap of the year played out well, all day long on Christmas. Those heartfelt words written in cards and used in the voiceover expressed the love, joy, and memories of your time together. It is all the richness you need and all the other fluff will just come and go. I love that Hunter wants to read all the books and each item was so thoughtful. Hunters, 'Nah just cook it' literally got me 🤣
I spent Christmas with my family of nurses at the Mayo Clinic even though I originally had the day off. I volunteered to work Christmas so that a member of my work-family could have Christmas with their immediate family. However, I did get 3 wonderful weeks off before Christmas and flew from Jacksonville Florida to Sydney Australia and drove down the Great Ocean Highway. The highlight of that experience was seeing a wild koala bear cross the road and watch me take his picture as he hugged a tree. My trip was cut short from a cyclone, but I got to see my brother who lives in Victoria, British Columbia.

I also love that you picked the song, “Hippopotamus for Christmas”. Gayla Peevy wrote that song and sang it at age 10. She made it a hit back in 1953. I met her at the OKC zoo in November. It was for this zoo she wanted a hippopotamus and got one. Her wish came true. Now Oklahoma City zoo needs another hippopotamus 😊.

Jess the master chef and Steven the super dad!! Thank you both for sharing you fun Christmas holiday with us. Koa's first Christmas brought back many memories of all my nieces and nephew's first Christmas. Hunter your excitement level was the same if not more as my niece who is 3 yrs old. Christmas would not be Christmas without: Mayhem in the kitchen, family gatherings good food, fun gifts, a visit from Santa and his elves. I love the elf door. I am going to have to have my sister do that with her daughter next year. Oh and Hunter my family all sleeps in so don't feel too bad about having to be woken up 😉. We also take a long time opening gifts! Savor every moment.

Raising two boys, each Christmas I always longed to be able to spend a chill day with them playing with the presents they opened but unfortunately, we were always too busy and stressing to get ready to do the drive to join extended family for the day or take our turn of hosting Christmas at our place, so I really enjoyed seeing how you did the extended family thing on Christmas Eve so you could relax Christmas Day and enjoy the day with your two beautiful children!

@@flyingthenest Ours was really good thanks. Had our 2 adult kids and their other halves and our 2 grandkids over. They’re 3 and 18 months so it was really nice. Just like Hunter, our Joel really understood what was going on this time and was excited to open his presents and play with his new toys. 😊

Your 1ST Christmas at home since 2020. Loved seeing Hunter eat the the chocolate from the spoon, I would definitely do that. Absolutely love ham, yummy. Thanks for asking, had a wonderful Christmas. In the pm I started my annual Christmas vacation, flew to Knoxville Tennessee for 3 full days at Dollywood ( 1st time and absolutely loved it ) and went to Bush Gardens Tampa for New Yrs ( 8 yrs in a row and my absolute favorite theme park )
I’ve always made my Pav the day before so it dries out properly
