We don't need Fifa level graphics, it just needs to be pleasing to watch. FM 2024 3D Match Engine graphics and animations still look like something from late '90s

I would be happy with fifa 10 (with better animations) level or above. I like career mode on fifa, it adds to the realism, but obviously lacks everything football manager offers. If football manager can bring that together its a serious game changer and will be a massive massive game

This Unity Engine could be at least at FIFA 14 engine level when it comes to dribbling, its just sad the lack of dribbling moves in FM

What I like about Premier League partnership is about match broadcast (PL scoreboard? Line up?) it already happened when they partnered with UCL, feels more real

I don’t want a something with graphics THAT good. IMO that shouldn’t be the focus. I play FM to simulate being a manager, making transfers, developing players, tactics. If you want fifa graphics, play fifa

It's 2024 dude, if a game franchise wants to be successful and attract new players (not only rely on hardcore fans that are gradually getting bored of SI's laziness as well), it can't look visually like it's a 2004 game.

Most of them are by small teams of 5-100 people.
FM has 200-500 employees according to linkedin.
FM25 is going to be mental.
(Also because FM23 was the most played FM ever, FM has a lot of finances to outsource help, which is what they've done.)
One of the best things that could happen to FM25 would be a pre-game 3d stadium editor/creator or any way to import your 3d stadiums into the game. Just imagine what would the community do with this! That would be a joy
I really hope they allow use to do this.
The only thing I’m waiting for is to be able manage U-19/21 team. It’s already possible with B teams, it’s not hard to translate into youth clubs and yet, I’m waiting for this for more than a decade) I really don’t care about women or about match engine. LET ME PLAY AS YOUTH COACH!
Yeah would feel great to develop those young talents and send them up to your A-team and see them bring home the titles or millions! ❤️
I want all B teams to be possible to manage. Now it's just german and spanish. I'd love to start on B team or youth. Also more youth levels so that you can develop newgens from even earlier point
Actually what might come is a PL scoreboard! Bundesliga has one.
What FM got wrong is the fact that content creators are able to make CZcams videos and say "This is the best "META" 4-3-3 etc"
In football, there should NEVER be meta.

I have been playing football games ever since 2001. I know how to create tactics, and I know what should work and shouldn't.

This all sounds good but my main worry now is, how much extra are they going to put on the price of the game? Let's face it they are here to make money so they won't swallow the cost of all this new stuff, I.E prem licences, new game engine etc. is it possible that we will be looking at what £70 - £100+ for FM25. I just hope they don't out price the game where they will loose players due to not being able to afford to buy it.
to address the "how to select" I would imagine they have 3 different databases, males, females and both
Both as in "not mixed teams" but you as a manager can freely jump between the job of managing either male or female side of the teams.
would add a sense of realism in my head atleast.
parhaps even a career path "manage females club for x years and upon reaching board goals / achievments" you can get a promotion to the main squad of the males side or that you automatically are concidered a candidate due to your already successfull history inside their system.
Would be cool to have some graphics with the tactics, like you could see animations of movements/ play you choose, like different runs and combinations. Maybe also have some graphics of when the tactics fail, you choose a high line and get a goal against you from a player running in behind your defence, you get an animated review of the game.
This would be awesome, and could make the data hub much nicer, actually show you clips of "We're conceding many of our goals from the center of the box because of X" then they show you clips of X. It'd help to really see if X is the reason or it's something else.
and what about modding? skins, faces, logos? I doubt that would be easy like now
I really hope with unity engine it enables you to build new stadiums and surrounding area, thinking of the tools available in cities. Would be really cool
Yeah would be cool with some roleplay elements where you need to find a place to live after a while at the club. Maybe also some things to spend your managers cash on would be cool. As of now the cash you earn in fm is kinda useless.
@Lightflames85 That would be good, although I would dread that could open the door to micro transactions that you see in a lot of games now.
@@nathanjackson717 yes but the company that makes the game normally dont use this kind of tactics. Having said that there has not much happened since they took over the game from the old developer that created the game. It has been mostly new paintwork to look new. The progression of the game has stopped for a very long time. It would be nice to see some new ideas instead of ripping of old ones. Expand on the Concepts within management.

I'd like to see multi-player offline career/franchise mode
I wish they would build in a way to just auto connect certain mods like the KitBasher or the NewGan Face management would be great. They know we all use it.
I'm in the "not a big deal" camp, and not just because I don't play and am not interested in EPL (and I'm not the only one). It's only because dollars to donuts you're still going to have to do facepack, real name and other downloads anyway to cover whoever else has not come to arrangements with SI. For me it's just part of the installation process these days. That said... the question of whether the new model will break the facepack and real name installs is another issue.

Absolutely love all of this... I will add this too... If there was a HockeyManager, BaseballManager, AmericanFootballManager etc etc there would be no EA anymore. 2k would be upping their game. Lets make this happen!!!!

I don’t really care about the visuals, what I care about is the animations and flow of play looking realistic.
I'm excited to see the new UI/UX that's possible with Unity. I'd love to see on the tactics screen with a Defense, Transition, Attack formation/positions rather than having to imagine where my players will end up during play.
Wonder if they'll fix the issue when offering a player a contract and he refuses yer signs for a smaller club on lower wages
I’m expecting the players in the engine to be similar to what we have but more detailed and maybe slightly bigger but I certainly don’t expect fifa style. With it being a completely new engine I’m also expecting first game to be quite a buggy affair until a first few patches similar to when they first introduced the 3D engine. I am looking forward to seeing how it all looks though.
unity is a big upgrade for the game so I think you will see much better graphics simply because its a much bigger engine. The tools that unity uses makes it easier for developers to create cool things.
id like them to bring back the quick play as well as the full game like they had in fm13
I would like for SI to bring more immersion to the game. More information about other leagues, matchday previews, more "lists" etc. At one point, my save goes really far to the point where I don't recognize faces and names anymore. I love regens and how the simulation handles game development, but eventually, I lose touch. The great thing about starting a save is knowing a lot of the players from real-life discussions, lists, achievements, rankings, etc. As soon as I get to my 10th season, every face and name is new, and I don't feel connected to the save anymore. My only familiar environment becomes my club, my league, and a few teams in the UCL.
I'd love to see more immersion added to the new game, giving us information on what players are popular right now, who is in-form, more optional inbox messages with player summaries, and a better media panel overall. Also, they should improve the period around the World Cup and Euros to build up more hype for those events. They are HUGE in real life, but in the game, they feel like just another tournament. I'm sure there are ways to make them come to life a bit more (for example, for a FIFA WC match: waving flags on entrance, option to hear anthems, etc.).
I like that they will be working on graphics, but it isn't the only way to bring more realism to the game.
Hopefully the announcements improve from here. I would have been more encouraged if they showed us what one of these PL jerseys looked like in the new match engine.

We'll see. My PC is quite outdated, so depending on where the requirements are going, FM 24 might be the last version of the game I'll play. So I'm not quite as excited about this as I probably should be.
I fear my laptop will not be able to manage all these changes. If so, it will be the end of FM for me. At least, until I need a new laptop.
The deal with the Premier League is huge for investors and marketing. For a regular player it really doesn't matter. At this point graphics and competition names are basically the same as Skyrim mods. It has become a part of the game.

wouldn't "FM25 cycle" mean 25 and forward to the next big upgrade (not yearly installment) ?
I would imagine they either do country for country or region for region in intervalled updates to ensure each and every female statistically as accurate as the males are on their side of the football system.. that will require extensive searching, data gathering etc.
Idk if they should / could be able to do it in one fell swoop. then again.. I am not exactly an expert on the matter, so who am I say what they can and can't do :D

I like the idea of adding womens football aslong as it is separate to the mens and not like fifa where they are both connected.

When they announced Woman Football way back they said you can manage Man Teams and then switch to a Woman team and vice versa
Are they actually going to make a legit game or just put a Unity skin on a broken sim where you can literally just pick all fast players with almost no other skills and take a non league team to the champions league title?
I get ppl want better graphics but with the shit graphics it has now … it STILLS runs slow on alot of people PC especially if you wanna enjoy a lot of leagues and players etc. I’m all about better graphics but I think if they improve it by a lot it’ll be harder to play on most peoples PC 😢
They have like 1 league and they actually call it the SUPER LEAGUE. PFFFT.
No comment from SI about a true tactics, set piece and training revamp, which is kinda underwhelming for me. For example, the ability to design training exercises that improve some aspects of your team's game.

What they should do is partner with fifa and have this game like what was fifa manager. When you have a game play it on fifa or manage it on FM.

@@harmez7I think he means extreme pressing and tackle harder are what HAS to go in to make every tactic work so much better. Nearly every tactic creator on here, FM Arena and FM Base always use it in the most successful tactics. It feels like a cheat code.

I think Unity is the wrong engine for a non-interactive videogame compared to Unreal5, but it can still be decent. I just hope they will keep all the modding possible and actually expand it, FM is the perfect game for extended modding

Why would it be mixed? It's only mixed on EAFC or whatever it's called because UT is a fantasy game mode. It's a mode where you can build a squad of men, women and dead players against other players who have teams built of the same.
Remember that game mode had Peter Cech, the former Chelsea goalkeeper, being used by players as a striker a year or two ago as he was lethal.
EAFC is basically just a shop to build your own dream fantasy team, with the ability to also play a football game. Whereas FM plays more into the realism aspect of football, so its highly likely they will hard code men to only be able to play for the men's teams and vice versa for the women's teams
Would be cool to see more improvements outside of top 5 leagues because so far thats where most of their focus is towards to. and before someone says just download mods, no. im not paying 40$ for a game just to download bunch of community modded stuff. if im paying i want a finished product.

I believe if they are switching to a new engine this first release will be somewhat disappointing and the second one is what is going to really make the game.

@@BenChowdhiry that is not the same, EA do attempt to "realistic" put better players as better players in the game. you won't have a 6th league player over there being able to run like Mmbape, but for some reason you can have a woman play better than a lot of men in the game? i don't know why they don't just do a separate men and women. with realistic and proportional skill sets between them.

Rob you seem to be confused. You control the database each time u start a save, just don’t select a million players and you’ll be fine.
More importantly, women’s football has been around since the 1880s, so is as old as the beautiful game is. It was just banned in the UK from 1920s because of sexism, if not for that it would be a huge property today.
