I like what this song is emphasizing on. Sonic is normally so used to being one step ahead of life. He knows exactly what to expect and how to handle it, which is why he stays cool in dire situations. But then, on his way to the Starfall islands, everything gets thrown off and he wakes up, alone, on an unpredictable island he knows nothing about. For the first time in a long time, he worries; about himself and his friends.
Even though this plot point wasn't in the game, I wish it was.
I like that Lost literally spills off how Sonic hates to hide and bottle all his pain his pain of being able to save the world and how he felt when his friends got stuck at StarFall Island when he discovered that he just wanted to get tf outta there

I feel this is about two things.
Sonic, being afraid if he'll be able to save his friends, and live to see them okay.
And us. mostly us.

It's all about us. we can't be ourselves, trust eachother, or try and leave because we'll always get sucked back in. we're stuck in a cycle of tearing ourselves apart, and others to shreds. drama, insults, arguments. friends hating eachother over the smallest thing, all the hate towards innocent people, everything. we're stuck. we can't find our way out.
we've lost what sonic's always truly meant.

This song resonated with me *Hard* when I first found it last month, and wouldn't you know it was the catalyst for me to talk with some friends about me.

I beat the game on hard mode and got to listen to One Way Dream in the credits! A well done to you and Shawn Christmas!
I've already finished Sonic Frontiers and I had to say, It's without a doubt a Game changer and a Masterpiece!!
The Combat controls and speed, The Music, The story and everything else is Perfection.
I've even completed it on Normal Mode and beat the Final Boss on Hard Mode.
Nate's song One Way Dream was beautiful and now this new original Sonic Frontiers song with Shawn Christmas.
I'd bet Sega should hire Nate or Give Heart Records to new music for Future Sonic games even had Crush 40 join in as well.
Here's to Sega and The Sonic Team for acheiving the impossible.
May they continue to progress their work on creating new Sonic games/Remastering/remaking classic Sonic games; and even keep some combat skills to Sonic games like Frontiers.
And Here's to the new Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie.
Hope to see it live up to it's name and progress as well.

This speaks volumes as a Sonic fan myself. I witnessed the downfall and tried to escape, but I would never forget the legacy this series left behind. There were many games that were beyond the dreams and those who fell short, and I never stopped being a fan. Now, with a new development team and sights set on the horizons, it's time to make this series great again. Thank you, Sega, for all that you've done.

In some ways, this song describes the Sonic Franchise over the last decade. For years, there have been multiple titles that have been mediocre, and in a sense, Sonic has been lost.
But now, after so long, Frontiers has brought Sonic back, and he is no longer lost. The Blue Blur is finally home.

omg i legit thought this was an actual song from the game, and i was trying to find out where does it play in game.
i was even wondering if this is something unused that people found in the files of the game or something... took me long enough to realize it's a fan song, but it's so good it feels official!

i know they got nate from natewantstobattle to sing and do the vocals for one of the songs, one way dream... but i don't think that was made by him nor his team. he only did the singing I think.
