imo Wagner Group was under control the entire time and it was a ploy to get traitors to expose themselves.
imo Paw Patrol in this scenario is ironically most like Antifa, with the tactic of setting up autonomous zones within a city and trying to overthrow the democratically elected businessman representative through violence and corporate media. They also bear similarities in the way they both seperate young people from their families in order to indoctrinate them.
I haven't seen the actual movie, but it would be most fitting if the regular human police stood down while Paw Patrol perpetuated violence, but arrested people for defending their homes and businesses. The system we live in is anarcho-tyranny, where people on one side politically can get away with literal murder while the other side is punished through the legal process itself, whether or not any crime is ever actually proven.
Also a good thing to add would be if Paw Patrol's police allies spied on the mayor in the mayor's mansion even after he is elected. Paw Patrol's government allies should have gotten a rubber stamp warrant based on opposition research they knew to be false, and when questioned by the city council, the judge should have said that he didn't remember ever reading the warrant request. 😅

Look at the statistics, cat males are over represented when it comes to violent crimes (scratching and biting, etc.). Now that doesn’t mean I’m condoning the actions of the Paw Patrol I’m just saying there is a problem with crime in many cat communities

I would probably have the paw patrol arrested and be located to new families that would be happy to have them while Ryder will never have them again that I could change him for animal cruelty and if I may wonder where are his parents. The paw patrol vehicles and backpacks are to be removed and confiscated because they are too dangerous for these puppies to have.
Throw in nano machines and super weapons and were already halfway into this being Metal Gear Solid lol.
It's truly amazing how Ryder uses the pups' PTSD to control them. They also recieve no compensation for their work. Ryder raises all of these funds and hoards it to himself. Truly devious.

The fact though that the plot was a group moving into a city to overturn elected officials (rather than support someone in over their head) is a bad plot point.

Socialists/Progressives on CZcams have noted these problems with Paw Patrol... however, if you think of Paw Patrol as "super heroes for toddlers"... you can get the same ideas. The dogs _are_ superheroes... and superheroes operate outside of the legal system. Most superheroes are, at best, vigilantes... others actually are the equivalent to private detectives, or are part of government supported organizations (Green Lanterns).
The biggest problem Socialists have with the show is... how it provides a very simple, and implicit, message regarding police... which Chase is supposed to be the fursonification of. Yet, Chase has all sorts of _spy_ gadgets which he uses to "solve the case" with. That's the issue for them... it teaches the kids that police are free to violate people's privacy because they are good guys... *Shrugs*
Edit: Okay... the movie is way, way worse than the tv series.
For real, the scene where Ryder is telling Chase that he isn't part of the team was really screwed up. The pup pretty much begged not to go back to the city and when Ryder didn't get the results he wanted from him, Chase was made to feel inferior.
Chase’s anxiety attack as helicopters whirred overhead in slow motion and you could hear his heartbeat getting louder and louder really reminded me of a Vietnam War PTSD flashback. Why was this in my 6-year-olds film?
I’d also like to add that humdinger is alarmingly efficient. The renovated subway took only days, and the construction of adventure city’s crowning achievement, humdinger heights, allegedly the tallest building in the world, took a similarly short time to construct.

This was a super interesting reminder how easily the perception of something can be flipped. My knowledge of paw patrol is zero, so I’ve no reason to disagree unless I look into it myself. And that’s the root of so many issues problems of the world today. Wild how you made such a good point subtly, with a paw patrol video at that.

I love the satirical seriousness that this has, It feels like those videos of arguing that the empire was right by arguing the virtues from the empires point of view alone, but I would have to agree the plot being what is basically a mercenary group moving to remove an officially and legally elected representative a very poor plot choice for a children's movie.

I believe the closest thing we have in reality to the actions of the Paw Patrol would be the attempted coup of the Russian government by the Wagner Group (which was founded only a year after Paw Patrols debut, so likely having taken inspiration from this notorious mercenary organization)

Thing is, Chase's panic attack in a dangerous situation is handled good in the moment, they don't try to force him to do it, and they help without the guy who can potentially fall back into a panic state should they get him out of it.

Having never watched the show before, I just assumed that they were some kinda Rapid Response Force for whatever problem was going on in their town, but man, had no idea they operated completely outside the law.
Like you'd think that when you've got one member for, based on their uniform, police functions, one member for firefighting, and one for construction/demolition, they'd be operating under *some* government sanction.
We need the Paw Patrol Accords.

I remember watching a like, hour long documentary about how the paw patrol show had a lot of authoritarian motifs. I haven't been able to find it again. Good to see a bigger content creator pointing out some of the problematic issues with this show, even if it is a bit tongue in cheek.

Yknow what else is funny about Paw Patrol? This Humdinger guy is the main villain in the main show. He does things that actively and directly endangers people's lives and livelihoods. But not once in the show does he face repercussions for this other than slipping on a banana peel or being splashed with water or something. He gets away with every single crime he commits without any attempts made to arrest him, revoke his mayoral authority, or even protest against him. He's rich and in a position of power, so the Paw Patrol just lets it all slide. So sweet! We have a private law enforcement organization made of children that doesn't actually do anything meaningful if the perpetrators have any kind of social influence, and they are the only emergency services. No fire, police, or EMS services that are held accountable by anyone exist anymore. And everyone's just okay with that. I hate this.
