Laney have a great sense of humour and sense of retro.
And with that blend control... are moving towards the Orange territory. Nice one 👍

I'm a huge fan of Laney, my IRT Studio is the most important piece of gear I own outside my actual guitars. I wonder what Laney needs to do to generate the kind of attention other brands get when they launch new products. Really looking forward to picking up one of these new bass amps, which seem like they would be better for heavy music than the Nexus.

I've got a Nexus SL and it's, along with my PBass, the most important piece of equipment I own

I know these amps are made and optimized for bass, but will they still sound good with guitar? Specifically the overdrive. It wont get fizzy and unusable with a normal, 6 string guitar signal will it?

still think there should be a gain control as to get any real volume out of the fet channel i have to run the vol control almost flat out , still trying to get my head round that as i have never run an amp at full on volume control

What kind of tube is in the preamp section?

No tube. Solid state overdrive circuit

Did I hear right that the 'Tube' channel is in fact a completely solid state "tube" emulation channel? So FET and... what? More FET? Wouldn't it have been more appropriate to just call it an overdrive channel? This really feels like a lot of false advertising if this is not in fact a hybrid head.

I asked laney directly this same question. It's not a FET or Tube circuit. It's 100% digital with antialiasing filters. A little disappointing for the purist in me....but it does sound great in these videos. I'd also prefer to not have to lug around a heavy ass tube amp as well. Seems like a pretty good compromise, but Laney should be more forthcoming about what this amp is and what it's not.

Love Laney but i wish you guys would go back to your roots TUBES-VALVES. what ever you want to call it so many of you manufacturers are going solid state or hybrid heads plz go back to making what your known for all tube or valve heads im getting tired of hearing tube emulating heads why do that just make the real thing im sure you would have a slam dunk
