2. Immediately press the clutch after the break to prevent stalling.
3. Once can has stopped pull parking brake.
4. Place car in neutral.

Your videos are really helpful!
Well done for a great explanation Josh
Thanks Zana hope it helped 😁
WOW i hate emergency stops but this makes it easy.
Here in the states your supposed to check your rearview mirror to make sure your not going to get rearended
Although many instructors teach it, there is no requirement to apply the handbrake and neutral after the emergency stop, although you can if you want. In a real life situation there may be secondary emergency that entails moving the vehicle out the way promptly.
The clutch goes just down prior to stopping dead , not necessarily immediately after pressing the brake as this reduces engine braking effect and the objective is stop as quickly as possible. This however is a matter of technique and so isn't marked on the driving test.
Thanks Mike I'll keep that in mind for future. After all everydays a school day. 😁👍
Do you put hazard lights?
I got failed for this because apparently i under broke..... even though i slammed on them, and she launched forward. But the car didn’t skid so how haven’t i done that correctly?
That's a really good question Pc rashford and to be honest I have never had anyone fail for not doing an emergency stop correctly. Without actually seeing it I couldn't comment. But I am sorry to hear that anyway.
I got asked to do 2 emergency stops on the test i passed in Birmingham.
That's weird why was that? Did you do the first one really badly and he was giving you a second chance?
@@JoshRamwell may have been that I'm not really sure lmao both to me felt the same haha
Could have been that you didn't check your blind spots when you drove away and he wanted to give you a 2nd chance or that you didn't stop fast enough or forgot something who knows or they were trying to catch you out.
