Hello from Wisconsin. Maybe now that you have your own house you would like to put up a few of those pieces of decorative items you found since your going to give them away for a dollar any way? I'm not saying keep all of it just a few when you come in and maybe a few in each room just to get in the holiday spirit. Maybe a tree? You do have the 4 main Holidays there. When I had my place I took stocking and on the white part with glue and glitter wrote my pets names on them. Lol. Maybe MOM would like that? Unless it's against your faith. I Do love your house inside and out. Best to you and your family.❤❤

My mom was a professional seamstress. She made my wife's wedding dress with over 5,000 sequins and pearl beads. She said it retailed for $5,000 in 1990. That wedding dress could be valuable at a wedding store.

Another fun unit! You never know what to expect. Amazes me what people put in storage. If they would go through their stuff they could throw half of it away and get a much smaller unit! 🤪
For real, your going to pay to keep your holiday decor in storage for a year before you pull them out to use them? I think it might be cheaper to give it away or toss it and buy new ones than paying for storage.
I helped a friend clean out his unit when he moved. It was floor to ceiling of vinyl record. Scored some nice ones 😃
The sharpening stones that are in those types of wood boxes are usually high quality. You may find the brand along the edges of the stones. If old & good condition, you can start the value at 50.
This was AWESOME!!!!! I am super psyched that you are finally getting some units and decent prices too! You were amazing leaving that families memories for them. Given the types of things that were held onto for so many years they are definitely sentimental and maybe Dentist's?! 🤓
Hope Amber wasn't getting ready to pass out there falling over. Being in places like that in the heat can get you. Make sure you are staying hydrated!!!

After watching you guys do your thing I decided to try my luck and got my very 1st storage unit. I loved it but boy did it go bad quick. The staff didnt charge my credit card for the cleanout fee, which of course i didnt know, then they gave it back to me. I thought they would put it back on my card but they gave me cash so i happily left. 30 minutes later they called yelling at me that I stole that $100 from them, I tried, without luck, to get them to just put it on my card but they wouldnt and yep, they called the police. i got back to the facility right as the police officer did so i turned out ok, but man them people put me in harms way for their mistake. valuable learning experience for me. Keep digging cause i'm going to try again.... cheers
The box contained a 2 sided professional knife sharpening stones in a base, chefs valued them, usually a coarse or medium grit grey stone and a fine grit white one.
22:30 That is a whetstone/sharpening stone for wood chisels and wood plane irons. Used by woodworkers. Two grades of grit. Coarse one side for shaping the blade, fine on the other for final sharpening. can get the edges as sharp as a razor. :)
I think you apply oil to it, My father had them when he worked at the ship yards, or at least I watched him putting oil on it, think it maybe called an oil stone, not sure but maybe someone else could chime in. I have his stone here in my home it's in a red mahogany case

You have no idea how much I want that large Molly doll. My daughter lived for The Big Comfy Couch. I always knew when she was feeling ill because out came her hug size Molly and a blanket. Never failed. When she was 17 our house burned to the ground and Becca(that's her) lost the Maltese dog my husband gave her before he died and she was devastated. She got a pale face and said "Molly's gone too." My heart bled for my little girl. She will be 30 on July 28th and she still talks about that doll. I'm sure she would have loved to be able to give it to her daughter and tell her about a the characters from Molly's life. Some lite person will be lucky to have her.
Hi Jebus thanks for the video of the storage unit but what you don't about Native American beadwork there are 5 different beadwork they are loom beading lazy stitch peyote stitch running stitch and 2 needle Applique wish it how it sew on the fabric or leather but for running stitch is one needle Applique wish I do that a lot I can do two needle but it just take to long to bead so I know what every one of there are good for so just letting you know for an update almost done with main part of my Native and indigenous beadwork fully beaded purse this is for everyday use for the first time even the strap is fully beaded so have that still to prep for beading on wish me luck with the rest of it good luck with your videos
I have some questions . 1. When you purchase a storage unit that been at an auction, is everything that's in that storage unit belongs to you? 2. Does the owner of the storage have to signed a contract 🤔? 3. Is the storage unit company responsible for telling the person renting the storage unit, to pay their rent?
Simple answer "yes"..
1.some states cars and boats in unit. Have to be impounded and sold at auction.
2. Every storage unit company has contracts.
3. The storage company sends out notices to the address on contract.also posts notice of delinquency in the paper.

This was awesome. It was very kind of you both to give the persons wedding dress back to them, as alot of women keep their dresses to hand down to their daughters. I kept my dress to someday hand down. Those Pyrex cups, and dishes are worth alot. I have a full set of the baking dishes that are over 60 years old. Mine has the blue pattern on them. I hope you both have a great day my friends ❤😊.

I’m sorry but no as a son of a storage manager for 17 years once the owner is out of the system they are not allowed back at there old unit or even on the property usually the manager will go get the personal items and bring them up front to the office I don’t know how the owner showed up my dad knows Dam well to not let the owner back once gone and out of the system!

Please don't throw unmarked jewelry to the side as costume. Something, such as class ring should be at least 10 k. Even old gold wedding bands worn 40-50 years, sometimes are worn down thin! The gold marks would be worn away, bands can get very thin. There is a testing acid you can get to test...or set aside and have tested at jewelry store. My mother was antique dealer for 49 years. I was in business 45 years, 12 different retail shops! If you have a gut feeling about something, get it checked!

If nobody buys that wedding dress, there's someone or well a group of people, you can donate them to and they create gowns for babies who die of like cancer and stuff, something we did with my wife's gown.. it's a special thing to give to unfortunate parents who lose a baby... really nice to do

I couldn't see the color very well of the second glass you unwrapped, but it kind of looked like Avon Cape Cod. I have a complete set and it is worth @$2000. So individual pieces can bring a good price

My youngest son was born in 2000. I remember watching dragon tails, bear in the big blue house and Zaboomafoo with him everyday.
We had bought a big screen projection TV. We set it up. And the next morning was his 1st day of seeing his favorite shows. And all of a sudden bear was bigger than him. It was just hysterical. He was totally stunned, dropped his toys. Just absolutely transfixed, so funny.
Check those blue blankets because there might be something hiding in there

#1 tip managers will never be mad when it comes to someone’s personal belongings they are always happy to give the owner back their personal stuff no matter the amount my dad gave back a whole unit with personal stuff back to the owner only cause someone else who was nice bought the unit and gave it all back

This was awesome! I made it all the way to the end. I was thinking, with that many holiday decorations of all kinds, they must have had a Holiday Shop to sell items. There is no way someone could have used all of these in one household! If so, it was ridiculous !! 😁

When you get jewelry boxes, & they have pearls in them, maybe you should look @ the makers mark on the clasp? My Mom gave me a strand of pearls when I was 10, I figured out they were a strand of Mikimoto "antique" pearls, from the 1950s! Got them valued, for possibly adding to home owners policy. They are worth $25,000.00

That cup with the lamb was from the iconic kids show Lamb Chops play along with Shari Lewis and was one of my favorite shows as a kid growing up in the early 90s. I also loved the Big comfy couch. Luna and Molly were the names of the main characters. The one with the blue clothes and red nose is the dolly. The big girl the real person has pig tails and wears a jumper dress and had a red nose. You have some gems. Thanks for bringing me back.

This was awesome! My youngest son was 6 months old when Bear in the Big Blue House first came on. I was so sad when it ended. There was Bear, Treelo, Tutter, Pip and Pop, Luna, Ray, Jack the dog and Ojo. You can tell we watched a few episodes together.
I know there’s some groups that will take a wedding dresses as donations and turn them into tiny little gowns for families who have suffered an infant loss such as a stillborn. But the name of the group escapes me.

Cremated remains usually are white to light beige and they usually have bone fragments in them. So whatever is in that container is most likely not human remains.

Someone may have already said something about the clock and I’ve been trying to go back and find it on the video but to no avail. I wasn’t sure what the name was on the clock but if it is a Herman Miller it could be of value. Their clocks are well-made and the prices vary so you would have to look it up and check by the model number.

This was amazing but, you didn’t recognize that the lam was Lambchop. You must be to young to remember. Share Lewis and her puppet Lambchop are still popular in reruns to this day.

Lol, it’s a tradition to keep your child’s baby teeth. Now they also recommended it and to store them a certain way for future possible use. They can now create stem cells from the DNA out of baby teeth in case the child becomes ill with certain diseases. My son had leukemia and if he had had to have stem cell therapy of any type we could have used his baby teeth.
I'm just now at the knife sharpening stone and it's worth over a hundred bucks...good find
