"Such a SE classic" | BEAR CREEK

- It has taken my way too long to get back on this. Bear creek is just southeast creeking at it's finest, with so many fun moves. It's not the stoutest run, but it's just great whitewater from top to bottom with a few nicer drops. Easy shuttles, no hike, easy to lap, just such a gem of the southeast. It definitely won't take me 8 years again to be back!

Great to see a Cboater out there!!
Awesome video as always! Love the casual conversation mid rapid with Nick about a dead cow. That was hilarious! 🤣
This is maybe the most classic creek in the southeast today. Well done.
Great video, when i lived in Chattanooga in the mid to late 90’s Bryce, Jeff West, Todd Grafe, your Dad, Clay and i would religiously make laps down the “Hair of the Bear” everytime it ran. Glad to see the tradition is alive and well. Stairway is the shiiiiii$&@!!!!
If we are telling dead Cow stories; on my local river the Weaver (Grade 2 in a really high flood) and we had recently had a flood. I saw a breakout and went for it; got it slightly wrong and the nose of my boat penetrated the belly of a cow that had been dead for a while. I have never experienced a smell like that; I was heaving. I've never backpaddled so fast in my life🤐🤐
You make this stuff look like so much fun. I am sure for you it is. I would probably get severely injured in the first five minutes of pretty much any of your runs, so it is a hell of a lot more fun to watch.
Would love to see the view of you going under that tree from the side. Looks like if you just braced to the side the side of the boat would have hit. Maybe it's just the way it looked on camera. Always love to see Nick in videos and the " remember the dead cow" was great. Keep up the fun. You been cranking out the videos lately and loving it.
nice video mate!! keep doing this, we love you
I would love to follow you down something like this, it looks so doable the way you do it. Just seeing what is possible is very fun. My son will love this video!
I know absolutely zero kayak lingo but your video titles always sound so hype 😂
Sick run. Love how you mentioned some of the dangers each run might have, including the dead cow 🤣 awesome video.
Hey Dane! Today jusr wanted to tell you I spent 3 hours making sure every single one of your videos are liked and watched at least twice no joke!! You might think it’s just painful for me but that’s only to make you see how sick the content is!!!! Keep it up and sick creek btw!!!
Jeez chill dude
That only took 3 hours?
@@FlippinKayaks sorry about that 2 days ago I watched em all then yesterday I watched most of them again and today I finished them all a 2nd time in 3 hours but the first time I watched them I didn’t make sure they were all liked sounds sus (like a lie) but that’s actually what I did so basically 3h today
@@biggelyum yeah something is really wrong with me I’m like completely addicted
Buying my first whitewater boat this weekend if all goes as planned. Gonna be hopping into a Jackson Fun
That looks like such a fun run, especially that longer slide.
Still, reminds me of the people running Oceana on Tallulah: Most paddlers come down in one piece, but the ones that don't make it down upright and with the right end pointing downstream sometimes come out quite badly damaged!
Well, bridal veil is that easy slide but if you don’t hit that boil line correctly especially that river right side of that hydraulic. Oceana just spits me out. I run the thing dead on. Only swam at bridal veil once.
Really awesome and beautiful creek, please keep this epic 2160p Contest up, i’m fucking lovin it !
Who’s in the c1? He is an absolute legend!
And I really love it, I recommend you come here Costa Rica there are some fast rivers, the truth is I traveled some and it is beautiful the fastest river here is the pacuare and he sarapiquí and the cold Tenorio are the best rivers to go kayaking extreme kayaking is the best I can see and the truth is I love your videos and apart there are other very good rivers

Wow. I had no idea. This shit is epic!
Where are you putting in at the creek? What time of year was this?
Saya orang Indonesia saya suka sekali konten tentang alamnya apalagi main air pasti seru
Videos like this make me wonder, "Why do I live in one of the giant billiard table states in the middle of the country?" Flow rates here are measured in cubic millimetres per hour, and if you see white water it's definitely polluted with something bad. Flow rates are determined more by wind speed than anything else, and the water becomes so stagnant that even the fish die. You don't want to roll, because when you roll back up you'll have dozens of tumors growing on every part of you that touched the "water", and you will need to bring dozens of boats for a one mile run because the "water" keeps eating through the bottom of the boats. You use nose plugs not to keep the water out, but rather to keep the stink out. The source of the water for most rivers is a hog confinement and a pesticide plant. The surest way to get your teeth knocked out is to not wear your nose plug. That's also the biggest cause of loosing consciousness. It's a whole new type of extreme kayaking, and a whole new level of risk. The only advantages are that you don't have to be constantly trying to hear over the roar of moving water, or the cacophony of living creatures (other than hogs squealing at the upper end). God I miss my home state of Colorado and the White water that was within walking distance of home.

makes mi wona go Yak
I don’t know how you made it underneath that log. That was a really white water limbo limbo trick.
Mid Rapid: “Remember when there was a dead cow in there?”
Please forgive me for my ignorance, but where is Bear Creek? I was searching for it an came back with too many results. Is this on the Cheoah River?
Look for Cloudland Canyon outside of Trenton, GA. It flows through there. Take out at Sittons Gulch.
@@corsica6565Where exactly in the park are they putting in?
@@mctenold pretty sure it's where 189 crosses Bear Creek on top of the mountain
