One of them(Mikeal) abused him since childhood and hunted him for thousand year (thousand years of mental torment in the form of memories of physical and mental abuse of childhood don't leave room for not being as damaged, paranoid, vengeful, angry and thirsty to be strong as Klaus was). Second one (Freya) tried to kill his child (she was the one who found Hope for Finn to kill and Klaus knew it hence Klaus's mistrust of her) to save herself.
She put Finn in the necklace after hers and Finn's first attempt to kill Hope failed. So yeah she could attempt it a second time, she was not a trustworthy person at that time.

For example lizzie Saltzman from legacies has all kinds of mental problems and they bring up that she is broken at every opportunity. If klaus had gotten the help he had needed he probably wouldn't have murdered so many people. It's not an excuse but child abuse, trauma, and torture is usually how serial killers are born.

They may have came in and stopped Mikael sometimes when he was beating klaus but klaus still got beaten and neglected far worse than anyone of them and they failed him especially elijah. I know not EVERY child grows up to become a monster but those children didn't live 1000 years ago with outdated therapy ideology so that wouldn't have ever helped klaus ever. He used to be a sweet boy and that's why elijah continued to follow him, because he knew there was still good in him. You also forget the bad things that elijah did too but unlike klaus, elijah was never mistreated. His mother helped soothe him and made him forget all of those bad things. His father loved him. He had the illusion of a well mannered vampire because he had loving parents. Klaus never even had that illusion. This is why I started to look at klaus more than just being the bad guy. he's not stupid, but he's hurting and nobody can really tell. He masks it with anger, tempers and threats, but inside, it's eating him. I wanted klaus to be more than just this bad guy everybody viewed him as, and I'm glad the originals did him justice. but I hated mikael for the way he treated klaus, klaus didn't deserve any of that at all. then when he grew it, the trauma he especially made him vulnerable, and scared, and he hated that feeling. All he wanted was to be accepted by the ones who really loved him.
The only bastard here is Mikael. How could he not say sorry in his last words to Klaus’ face. Even though Elijah was also lowkey cold for letting it happen to his father Mikael deserved that.
Rare moment of honesty from Mike. I do believe that was the only time he ever showed any vulnerability. Awesome character loved the way he says "boy" and the funniest line in the entire show when Davina is attacked by werewolves and he pops up and says "filthy dogs". Has me in stitches every time.

I would do whatever I could to please my dad but in the end of the day it wasn't enough and he kept trying to manipulate me to believe the things he did and do things for him. I couldn't do it anymore and I couldn't take the pain of having him mad when I finally began to think for myself so I cut myself out of his life. It hurt at first because I wanted to have that love of a parent because my biological mom has always been a deadbeat but now I know it's for the best because I can't count on him especially with his anger issues. He was highly abusive during my childhood too.

I actually found Mikeal's death sad. Killing anyone no matter how evil they are can hit the heart when you see them in their final moments especially if they aren't fighting back and are saying goodbye to the only one they love.

Mikael didn't even try to step aside and avoid being killed because he knew he was wrong and he must be killed, so he told the ultimate truth to Klaus that he hated him despite having no reason, and then finally said Freya that he loves her!
This is why I started to look at klaus more than just being the bad guy. he's not stupid, but he's hurting and nobody can really tell. He masks it with anger, tempers and threats, but inside, it's eating him. I wanted klaus to be more than just this bad guy everybody viewed him as, and I'm glad the originals did him justice. but I hated mikael for the way he treated klaus, klaus didn't deserve any of that at all. then when he grew it, the trauma he especially made him vulnerable, and scared, and he hated that feeling. All he wanted was to be accepted by the ones who really loved him.

I would do whatever I could to please my dad but in the end of the day it wasn't enough and he kept trying to manipulate me to believe the things he did and do things for him. I couldn't do it anymore and I couldn't take the pain of having him mad when I finally began to think for myself so I cut myself out of his life. It hurt at first because I wanted to have that love of a parent because my biological mom has always been a deadbeat but now I know it's for the best because I can't count on him especially with his anger issues. He was highly abusive during my childhood too.

I actually found Mikeal's death sad. Killing anyone no matter how evil they are can hit the heart when you see them in their final moments especially if they aren't fighting back and are saying goodbye to the only one they love.

After learning he wasn’t his child he probably felt disgusted with himself for loving him in his kind of way and therefore took everything all out of Niklaus . And obviously a lot of other shit .
