Sound Clips from My Custom Corsa Stainless Steel Exhaust System

At full throttle there was an annoying "fluttering" noise due to the way the AMG chamber mufflers are designed. Of course they are designed to be more quiet but at the same time sound aggressive. You can't have both!
The Corsa mufflers are a true 3" single inlet and dual outlets - not a singled with dual tips welded on like the factory units. The Corsa's are also a straight thru design like good old fashion Hot Rod mufflers from Borla or Magnaflow. There is very little or no perceptible drone when cruising either.

Love the sound. I want to do this to my SL55 .. what type is it sport or extreme..? Also can you help with details on what you done to make it fit..? Thanks

Hi, thanks for reaching out. My local muffler shop was able to make everything fit perfectly. I did not put this exhaust on myself. Lot's of measuring, mandrel bending and trying out several muffler brands. Sorry I can't give you any more details. This was not a DYI project like 90% of the work on my SL. You just need to make sure the dimensions of the muffler you choose is close to or smaller than the stock ones. The Corsa's I got were normally used for high end vendors like Renntech. My SL is a full Renntech R2 car. I'll see if I can find out what the part # is.
