I love Joe Kosinski ever since I've first seen the teaser of Tron: Legacy for the first time. I've even written him a fan e-mail at that time and he kindly replied back. He's such a great director and seems like such a great dude. I hope I can meet him in person one day.
Fingers crossed that the IMAX framing for select scenes will be preserved on the Blu-ray, since Paramount is signed on to the IMAX Enhanced program. 🤞🤞
Sir Joseph Kosinksi is a master craftsman. He has a panache for sci-fi & takes dog fight combat scenes to a level never before experienced in movies thus giving all Tom Cruise fans worldwide a stratospheric stellar sequence.
As a movie fan focusing on quality, I realized that these types of directors have a common approach during editing. His editing/mastering Top Gun maverick is very similar to the director 's interview for a great French film - Yves St Lauren. The directors kept editing, rethinking how to make it better until the deadline and he said he had to walked away. It's a biopic of the late designer, if you love the 70's, imagine the disco scene in Paris
they used the venice which is imax certified. this allows it to actually fill the IMAX screen in specific scenes (just like when Nolan uses IMAX cameras).

And this is Kosinski's second film to have aspect ratio changes in IMAX since TRON: Legacy.
will this be also applicable for digital release?
It should be since Mission: Impossible Fallout did that.
@@alextan1478 nice to hear that! 🤩
It is confirmed that it will have those IMAX scenes preserved 👍🏻
It's fucking awesome. When movies are shot the way this one was, IMAX is worth every penny. So much fun!
This movie looks amazing. 💯💯
Great interview as always. Fantastic Imax questions. I really loved all the technical camera questions you asked him. Great job!

Interviews with directors are much more interesting than with the actors.
Best movie of all time
You should have asked why that director chose 1.90:1 and why he did not choose 1.43:1
The movie was called SPEED. It was an 80s IMAX film.
Isn't that a documentary?
Gotta point out it's not legit 70mm IMAX it's digital.
Some scenes are still in IMAX 1:9:1 aspect ratio.

It's basically the same bruh
@@impatrickt Imax is a film format, not an aspect ratio
@@kyloren6396 it's not
