Drive with us along the picturesque island road in the Province of Cebu, Bantayan Island. I am falling more and more in love with the life we have here with my Russian Filipino Family. I am so grateful that I chose to live here with my husband in the Philippines!

Philippine history started in Cebu with the arrival of and "discovery" by Ferdinand Magellan who headed the Spanish expedition with the original plan to look and explore the Spice Islands. It is also in Cebu where the first Catholic/Christian mass was held in April 1521. Therefore Cebu celebrated the 500 years anniversary of Christianity as written on that cross, in 2021.

Although my favorite beach is Boracay coz I been there many many times, when I first visited Bantayan Island last year, I was fascinated by its beauty. Bantayan Island is one of my favorite beach now. Hope I will be able to visit again the island before leaving to EU. Bantayan Island is a must visit island it's just that the downside is there is no direct flight.
Yes, so so true! Especially if someone wants less crowded serene place! About flight I hope they will open soon, there’s small airport already, even us , to go to Cebu city by ferry + 5 hours bus is challenging with toddler. Also hoping for flights😊😌

I just found out that Bantayan Island is famous for fishing and seaweed farming, wow !!! I hope that the locals get the needed support from the central government to improve aquaculture and put in place the infrastructure needed to process the seaweed to high value products. We can't just export the raw materials and continue letting other countries to produce high-value products out of what we have in our own backyard.
Yes, I agree with you. The island’s fishing industry is the main livelihood source here. Even where we stay now almost all neighbors are connected to fishery or are fisherman families. Also every day the fish is being delivered from Bantayan to Cebu and Negros as well. Thank you for watching!🙏🏻😊
