Testing the new high-speed train 'Giruno'

  • The "Giruno" is the Swiss Federal Railways' new high-speed train and the first to be built in Switzerland. The train can reach speeds of 250 km/h, although the maximum speed in Switzerland is 200 km/h, meaning it had to be tested in Germany. Swiss public television, SRF went along on a test run.       No it’s not. Reason is that the train is running through the Gotthard basis Tunnel NEAT with speeds of up to 250km/h, it is saving enough time there

    Rein Technisch wären 250 auch aif Schweizer strecken möglich!^^
