Yes the Sony xv 900 is wireless and can be brought anywhere the jbl Partybox 710 needs to be plugged in but the sound on the jbl is better but if you want more versatility i would go with the Sony xv 900 but if you want a bit better sound with increased punchy bass i would go with the jbl Partybox 710.

Nah Sony has improved alot. I've noticed nowadays people has been noticing JBL sounds too bright at times making listening fatigue is a real thing. Sound quality is really important too.

Tengo el Sony XV900, y tiene una altísima calidad de sonido, y cuando de graves se trata es muy bueno. La batería con luces led apagadas, con Subwoofer apagado dura más de 20 horas la batería. Con luces led encendidas y subwoofer encendidos, la batería duraría unas 12 horas.

I think, the main "problem" of the SONY is the battery - I used to have a XB60 with battery, now I have a XB7 (no battery, same speaker size). The XB7 sounds WAY (!) better in any way. More bass (especially when playing not loud), sharper and louder highs. I guess, the power of the amplifiers is lower, probably for a better running time on battery.

Con batería no tendría la misma potencia rebajaría muchísimo, como pasa con la encoré que al usarla con el modo batería es una cosa y ya conectada es otro nivel.

You must use the equalizer on Sony’s speakers. They will sound better, y own two SONY , xb30 and recently XG300 and out of the box they sound different if you put the equalizer. I saw GYMCADDY review and he said that is an improvement to xp series. I think too that JBL sounds better

Mejor pero en bajos nada más y ademas la 710 tiene ventaja al estar conectada a la corriente, jbl logra sacar esos bajos porque no balancea bien los bass, medios y agudos, por que en calidad y sonido balanceado gana sony
Naaa la jbl suena bien porque es un sonido audible por lo cual la cámara capta bien su sonido, y la Sony al ser un sonido sensible se escucha de la fregada en este video pero en persona créeme es otra onda Sony en bajos con el 60% ambientas fácil un almacén te lo digo porque tengo la Sony xv900 y nada que ver con el sonido del video

sony is better if you know how to adjust the equalizer, all sony speakers are flat in default but when u adjust the right setting for the sony speaker u have, it's perfect
JBL is great out of the box, if u adjust the equalizer it will mess up the quality... but for Sony, starts out of the box flat but try to understand the equalizer and adjust to your taste, you will be satisfied. And also, adjust the equalizer on your phone and see the differences.
same in their sony xperias, which i am using by the way (xperia 5 iii), if u know when and how to shoot photos it's great and natural. but at the end of the day, it all depends on your taste.
The JBL also has an eq. It will outperform the Sony
