Have to say Fein company stands out way beyond all the tools you find on the shelf at your big box store. Can't go wrong with Fein, Hilti or Makita!

That's not bad for two well-made light duty tool. I'd personally say buy the 4 pc Hilti 12V and the corded Fein Multi-master for the Home-gaming or light contract work. You can also get the Milwaukee Fuel 12V and their multi-tool for most jobs. While I have all of the above, I would say get the Hilti 12V set and Multimaster corded. The impact is handy for certain situations but mostly I find it handy to have a drill and a driver separate, instead of an all-in-one which is kind of a compromise. This way you can illuminate, pre-drill, drive or impact if necessary.

I just got my Fein 12V MultiTalent even though I would prefer to only have Milwaukee tools and batteries. I think Fein still owns the patents on the mechanical device, because Milwaukee doesn't have any good multitools and I think only Bosch has the startlock. At least now I can do my cuts in wood panels while in place rather than marking and moving them to my table saw or circular saw all the time, which ruins my shoulders. I would have gotten the Bosch, but I figured if I'm going to get a better multitool with a new battery system, why not get the best to justify a whole new battery system.

Fein is a premium brand like metabo festool as well as Hilti At the bottom end is Bosch you'll pay a premium for a lot of there tools and btw there bits are not made in China like DeWalt. Milwaukee Makita metabo HPT/ Hitachi are bits are made in Vietnam maybe some of them Germany have you some of these premium tools in the past and I own Bosch as well as the pro consumer brand Ridgid

Would you recommend using a drill driver for any masonry bits!? I was always under the impression that you needed a hammer drill for that. thanks

+Jay Fillet for one or two holes it's fine but anything more if use a hammer drill.

+Kasey Lester haven't used the for an extended period of time, e.g. 20 minutes non-stop. But the battery didn't need to be charged for awhile. Charging doesn't take that long 30 min to 40 min

You do not need to pull up on the black lock handle to attach an accessory/blade to the multi talent, just snap it on......easy!

How is the multi talent now you've had it awhile. I've used the corded multimaster for years but I've ordered one of these as lots of people are saying they're as good as the corded.

+Biggsy1970 the cordless 12V has power and is currently the version I use most. It's good to have two batteries as they don't last long when in continual use. That said, it's a great multitool

Home Repair Tutor Tools & Gear I bought one yesterday and so far I'm impressed. It cuts as fast as my corded multimaster.

just seems like way to much money when those tools can be purchased from many different manufacturers

+Vince Neil there are a lot of options but remember some folks are dedicated to a certain tool line because of prior experience. Plus, if you like FEIN and want to go cordless there's an option now. Always good to have choices

Working with Festool is an absolute pleasure. There tools are premium as is the price but I've worked in a joinery for 3 years and they had quite a few festool tools. They are compact, powerful and "quite" (for power tools) and there vacuums are one of the most efficient...
