Plein Air kicked my a#@!

What a challenge I had in this video. I thought I was going to have a relaxing painting day by the lake, but the wind kicked up something fierce. It was still a good experience though. Not all plein days are perfect. What helped in this oil painting was my method of using a single color to block in the painting quick. This helped establish the foundation of the drawing and some average values efficiently. Considering the challenges, I was pleased with how I capture the scene. It will only take time until the community knows you and your art work. Don't worry, you will reach the point where you want! Perhaps you could start up a Plein Air painting group with other artists. I would love to join but one here where we reside but the local art group did not even know what Plein Air was!
