Iâve been through that cave. They blocked it off around 2007 to save bats from âwhite nose syndrome â I wish I could go through it again.

Near by Red River Gorge area is great to see and drive through the old Nada small gage railroad tunnel

I have been to Kentucky about 50 years ago my ex was from Dorton! It is a beautiful state but my favorite state will always be Tennessee

That sunset was pretty.
And my son stop their on his way home last month. They are lots to see around that area. And plenty of hiking trails. Northern Ky. has lots to see but most stuff is starting to wind down for the winter.

I live in Pikeville....you would enjoy kayaking the Cut Thru in the spring. They are working on building a new convention center at the overlook...might be done by next summer. That is a nice view too!

I live close by I used to run up that hill for cardio training, very beautiful out there especially during fall.
We love the park there. We bring the RV and stay at the campground You got us wanting to go back and visit.

My son and I hike up to Natural Bridge every year and take the lift back down. Then we eat at Miguel's Pizza!

I went to Red River Gorge with my best friend and our boyfriends around 37-38 years ago. I seen Natural bridge, but we didn't go on it.
We rode the skylift, back then it didn't cost anything. I have a picture of us on Chimney Top. There have been some people who had
died there trying to cliff dive and falling off cliffs. I live in Kentucky so I see it's beauty all the time.

We used to call the tight squeeze goin up to the bridge Fatmans Squeeze and well deserved name..I thought when I went up it yrs ago I was gonna get stuck..lol

Wow beautiful! Didn't know there was a Lexington Kentucky. When you said Lexington bridge, at first I thought you were talking about Lexington Va. We have a natural bridge here as well. I think I like that one better. Bet Smokey Mountain Hiker would love hikeing this. Thanks again.

Have you ever been to Stone Mountain in Atlanta? It's beautiful with also a beautiful lake and they have old fashioned boat ride on the lake. You can also go to the top of Stone Mountain. They have a history. museum on stone mountain.

If you go back, make sure to check out the chimney tops overlook. Not much hiking involved. Just drive up to it and there is a trail that leads out to it, but it is mostly flat. You get sweeping views of Red River Gorge.

I love natural bridge but the hike is straight up there are several places to sit and rest. But the real beauty is sky bridge and red river gorge

What an AWESOME video! Such beautiful views! I have never been there-my husband-well thats a long story-his family once owned that area (& supposedly sold it to the government 6 times-lol)
He said: the restaurant @the end was once a 'cat house' & sheriff childress picked him out years ago the last time he was visiting with the cub scouts(we're both from Cincinnati-not disclosing exactly where we r now-lol nervously) thought I'd share...since he wouldnt be quiet pointing & giving his pov tour...love him always...

Thereâs many more trails and they just got an ice cream place about five minutes or less away along with a newer restaurant

That overlook is called llovers leap it was named that because a couple that couldnât see each other anymore jumped off together
I went there a few years ago it is one hell of a walk tho another great thing to do is white water rafting at the lower new river gorge the resort is amazing there's a lot of rope courses to do and then you go do all day white water rafting ik I'm way to late to be commenting on it

We took the chair lift because our son was only about 4 at the time. The lift was pretty scary because there wasnât much to it and that thing got VERY, VERY far above the ground! đłđ”đ«

I visited Natural Bridge when I was a kid, that path to the top was more like a deer trail, wasn't with steps or anything, no guard rail, and once on the top we scratched out initials in the rock but the years of travelers and hikers have worn them off. I am surprised the ''squeeze'' is still there, I am amazed they haven't widened it, but again there were no steps when I visited it as a kid. I visited it a few years back and took the chair lift...too old to make the climb anymore. Have you visited Chained Rock near Pikeville KY?

You made me nervous Will being on the edge especially after the difficult hike.
I live 10 minutes from the bridge! Lol! I'm also a big guy, I've hiked up there more times than I can remember, and I always get stopped by a tourist from outta town telling me its a long way up there and that I might not make it! đ No offense, but I've always heard of that narrow gap called Fat Mans Squeeze, and you never realize how much you can actually suck in the gut until you try to go through!
