It has definitely changed since growing up there, but we love it too!

Good morning! Thank you for this pluses and minuses of Vail! I like the space! And, as I have commented, Vail area residents probably have a “back door” access to some of the recreation that is far enough from Tucson to keep it from being packed. And, I am guessing we would be more inclined to be able to have some burros (though, that would not be the highest of the desired features).
Hmmmm….I am thinking my wife would like the extra 5 degrees that one could have as compared to the lower Tucson area. Degrees matter hehehe. And, my German shepherd could bask in all of his glory on that 1 or 2 days that it snowed hehehehe.
But, one component that we do want is to have more access to stuff- shopping, restaurants with more than burgers and pizza (though, I think I could live forever on pizza and tacos), able to attend the arts, etc.
So….we will see. We are definitely going to visit Vail on our trip.
A bonus…..the vineyards to the south!!!

Definitely a lot of pros to this area and they have made it more accessible to close shopping and dining. While there's not much, it has definitely been expanding and I forsee more dining options within a reasonable distance.
