I cut the little filter off mine as it tended to clog with thicker liquids. Speaking of thicker liquids, I recommend you thin them out with water and then double your spray rate (8oz water+8 oz thick stuff @ 2 oz instead of 1 oz). Another tip is do not leave them outside! The suns UV rays will degrade the plastic on the bottom reservoir and they will crack and break. Also depending on what you are spraying, you may want to rinse out the reservoir as well or it will easily stain.

I use it if i wantvto put something down and use a lot of water. Otherwsise, i use an old spray bottle. The Ortho flows at 2gpm so you need to either move really fast or dial back the application rate.
