- Like most pastoral nomads in Mongolia, Purevjav is a hunter. We follow him and his family in one of his migration steps, in the beautiful landscapes of Hovsgol province. The economic situation of the family is getting harder each year, so the younger ones have a job to supply the family’s needs, while the eldest, Purevjav, still breeds his animals…

We have 2 different living styles in Mongolia, one is nomadic life another is living in city as most of the developed country’s people. I am proud of being Mongolian because i can live in nomadic life whenever I want and we have unique culture. Thank you for this video, it is amazing. 🌺🌺🌺
Thanks for you your explanation is perfect
Hahaha .. gosh ..😂😂 king baby attitude.
Don't compare people n country it sounds funny..n grow up man
@@jranishbantawarai5763 thank you for your reply, I am 12 and soon to be an adult. still growing.
@@ggcfgjfhz thank you for your reply.
When they spoke about there being no teachers in nomadic society, that was honestly eye-opening for me. I would love that job in the future, it sounds amazing
Idk if they'd accept American teachers but I'd be down!
So sweet! “You were cute and chubby” “like you are now” he clearly after 40 years is still in love and adores his wife!!! ❤️❤️ nice to see that people still have that pure love! Not drama, jealous, crazy crap , not all people know what deep pure love is anymore!
I’m in my 22nd year of Marriage and I’m still deeply in love
Surprised about his first wife. Even nomadic Asian lifestyle sounds a little like American people. Just keep looking for the right person if you first don't succeed.
@@loydevan1311 true he didn’t let it stop him from finding the right one
Yup 👍❤️ love exists for those who are willing to go out and find it ☺️
Deepness of your love shuold be measured. How deep.
Yeah u must write emo alternative songs after that
What a service to humanity by documenting this nomadic life. Life was similar in our region at one point in time and now its more like transitioning towards urban life.
I would LOVE to teach nomad children. I live in a cabin in northern Maine, heat with wood, have no appliances, sleep outside even in winter, and use mains electricity only for charging this IPhone, which was a gift from my brother. I raise sheep, horses, livestock guardian dogs, rabbits. I eat what I raise. I ride a horse into town for my mail twice a month. Or I walk. Their lives are amazing, fabulous, strong beyond measure.
All my children were born at home with a midwife, none of them went to public school, and they had very free childhoods playing outdoors and learning as they were curious. As much like that nomadic life as could be managed in this modern era.
The world keeps changing like it is,u might get ur wish
What part of Maine? I’m near Bigelow
Why on earth would you sleep outside in the winter if you have a cabin? I live in the great north woods of NH, absolutely nobody I know would ever do that. Unless you mean the occasional backpacking trip.
@Nang Darin amen 🙏🏾
@ok let's see he was talking about a teacher who'll wish to travel along with the nomads and teach the childrens about education not about what you think. In the video the mother and father was talking about having such kind of teacher.
I was with a group in 1990 hunting in Mongolia , one of the most interesting and amazing experiences of my life
This is natural life, respect for them.

Từ Miền Bắc Việt Nam, Cảm ơn bạn đã quay những clip rất thiết thực cuộc sống du mục của người dân Mông Cổ.
In our part of the country people live in villages and some people would have another temporary house like a farm house, which they stay sometime while farming or grazing. But they are very few. Most people would choose to settle where they work. Very beautiful to learn this lifestyle of the Mongolians. Thankyou Slice. ❤😍❤💕
What a shame that this life style might disappear.
These people are truly unique and very interesting, hard working, imaginative, inventive, make something out of nothing type of humans.
You just gotta LOVE these fine humans. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much
What a scenic place on earth... Mongolia govt.should find some ways to preserve this culture....
Your video should be more long ... content is awesome
That was great. Thank you 👍 😊 Please bring us more from Mongolia 🇲🇳.
Very enjoyable video of pastoral nomadic family life. They are unduly taxed by the government. As the parents said, taxes, no schools, little opportunity and societal change will ultimately force the pastoralists to move into populated cities. Excellent video production Slice.
Informative 👍
@ 3:00...absolutely correct Sir!!! #soft
This is lovely and everyone looks so healthy. I liked the older couple talking about how they got together 40 years ago and the man like older people Iike I am always and everywhere lamenting the weakness of the youth of today. It was ever thus....
Keep going

Beautiful on the mobile phone's screen but extremely tough otherwise.
His diary must have been holding many interesting stories. Whoever gets to read it would know many about them.

Good video. One suggestion though. If both narrator and characters voice overlap, what we can make out ? Just asking

The grass always looks greener on the other side. And the other guy working at the mining company and driving a truck wishes he worked on the pasture as a nomad.

Good video
Super cute!
Such fun, huge views, very tough people,
These people still know what freedom is. the moment you settle in a town and work for others, you give up your freedom. We all got soft. No one remembers how to survive in the wild. Once the nomads stop travelling, all of us will have lost our freedom and will be at the mercy of the rich, for whom we work. Sad.
Mongolia is a beatiful country
What an amazing place and people

I hope that people understand that Mongolia is not only represented by nomad cultures and livestock . There is a city too . It is ingesting video however it will be misconceptions to think that all Mongolians live in the Countryside as nomads .
Rough, harsh but an enviable life
I would love to know what winter is like for these folks and how their cattle survive, is it just off grazing? Here in the north, winters have gotten so bad that herders have to even feed reindeers with store-bought moss so that they can survive.. Also, what a sturdy race of sheep they have, since they can survive the freezing steppe winters without shelter. Here the landraces have gotten so weak that they can no longer survive of just grazing but need additive nutrients and need a shelter from the elements. Everything is devolving..
Hi, I know Mongolia well and in the absence of a Mongolian answering your question I will do my best. No one simple answer, big country with many climates. An average winter in your area is obviously manageable. The difficulties arise when it’s not average. This variation normally comes in the form of too much snow, the animals starve because they can’t dig down to the grass. To little or no snow, they die of thirst. Or too cold with the obvious freezing to death. These hard winters are collectively called a zud. Normally each year a zud is officially declared in at least one part of the country. Sometimes not. Sometimes over large parts. With the official declaration comes some governmental assistance. In reality very little. Every zud results in some being driven from nomadic life to urban, mostly UB, the capital. Mostly into abject poverty which can soon lead to alcoholism and homelessness. Not a pretty picture I am afraid.
