Would have been better if the princess married the other man and not the general at the end. The general was intimate with his concubine, pampered her and believed her all the time. He despised the princess and said many hurtful things to her. The general does not deserve the princess. The ending is not good.

I found the behavior of the FL, very disgusting, encouraging the SML in a lot of bullshit. The SML had no right interfering in their marriage, but he's lustig after another man's wife. His motives are ulterior. If the FL is dissatisfied with the marriage, she should ask the Emperor for a divorce. The General is an idiot and was forced to marry a woman that he doesn't love. I think spending the night at the SML's house is less damaging than bringing the guy to live with her, hugging him intimately all day long ( before marrying him as a concubine) and then ignoring his attempts to kill the ML while at the same time protecting the guy and cursing the ML. These actions would make any spouse spiteful.The husband bringing another woman to live in the same house as his wife started it all. I totally agree with you that the FL could have asked the emperor for a divorce. She brought a lot of misery on herself by trying to cling to a guy that had obviously moved on. We are dealing with different personalities here, the fake Princess. Who doesn't love the General and is disrespectful to herself and the General. The fake Princess publicly embarrassed the General, by playing with the SML. Persons are missing the fact that this fake Princess, never had a relationship with the General, to begin with. Forced marriages that are used to suppress persons, will have conflicts. I am 1 peron that like the General, what happened to the real Princess was done by the scheming SFL. The General is blinded by resentment and is being manipulated by the scheming woman.

It makes me think that if we go by this logic, then it is rightful for the fake princess not to consider herself as a married woman and as it was the real princess who married the ML. So, she does not have to put up with the ML's attitude towards her since she was not the one who forced him into marriage. Because she inherited the real princess's body, the Fake princess finds herself in a forced marriage/situation as well. It is a situation/marriage she did not consent to. Her staying at the SML's house instead of the ML's is the safer option for her. Her life is at risk at the ML's house. The SML is an ally whereas the ML and SFL are not people she can trust since the ML is so easily manipulated. Each their opinion as you said.

for someone who is supposed to be a brilliant military tactician, the general seemed like an idiot who believed whatever anyone had to say without investigation. the princess figured out who slandered her fairly quickly but the general--with all of his resources--couldn't manage it? he would be a hard pass for me. when i saw she had stayed by 2ml's side i really thought we were getting a good ending with her realizing who she really had a good relationship with. don't forget, the general threw a pregnant woman out into the street based on the slanderous words of some random stranger. and he apparently never thought it was important to clear his wife's name if he blamed her for a murder that she didn't commit. women need to understand that being familiar with someone does not mean you are in a good relationship with them. you made a good decision to leave his sorry ass. you made a bad decision to uno reverse and get back together with him. he never apologized. he rightfully accepted the blame for his actions but he never once said sorry. honey, block his number.
oh, and before i forget, let's remember that he allowed his mistress to bully and disfigure his wife. and also, he had a mistress.
Seriously, the story was so good till it get to the ending. After everything she went through she still forgave him. A man that threw you out when you're pregnant doesn't deserve forgiveness easily. People need to realize love is never enough

It is normal in lot of Chinese novels, dramas and movies. The FL is abused emotionally, mentally and the ML is a prick but at the end they end together. It is disgusting.
Can’t agree more. General supposed to be making strategies, but can’t see simple cunning methods of concubine. In this story, one of the unfavorable characters-emperor turns out to be one of the smartest. He listens to people despite emperor and FL has complicated family connections, in the moment of truth he listens to every sides and make analysis, but the person who should be the smartest general is too stupid.
She should have left such husband. As concubine has said, low esteem army person, will suspect her in other situation. If they were real life couple, they have no future with such husband full of insecurities.
I wont go back to such man who never believe in me. Love comes with trust. If your husband don't trust, it means he don't love you at all. He didn't know you at all.

Disappointed ending!! FL should of ended to with second ML who always had her back , protected , believed and stayed by her side no matter what ! General did not trust or believe her at all ! But trust the concubine more.. FL was smart to out wit many challenges with the help of the second ML . Even thou all misunderstanding cleared up at the end . Конец совершенно глупый. "блестящий" генерал оказался тупым в домашних делах, потворствовал любовнице во всём. Даже узнав, что любовница жену (которую якобы любил всем сердцем) изуродовала и выкинула из дома умирать на улицу, нисколько не расстроился и продолжал жить с любовницей. Где то подобрал любовницу, не проверив даже её семью, притащил через месяц после женитьбы в качестве второй жены. Фуууу, отморозок. Какой дурой надо быть, чтобы вернуться и упрашивать бывшего жить вместе, забыв все его выкрутасы и издевательств. Он даже ребёнком не заинтересовался😢. Нормальная женщина будет с тем мужчиной, кто любит её всем сердцем, всегда был рядом в трудное время и нес бремя заботы о ней и чужом для него ребенке. Очень сильно разочаровал финал.

留一個不屬於將軍府受傷的蘇折在將軍府， 其他人都離開，哈😂。這就是網劇的另類喜感。
原著的女主本就是和蘇折在一起，而且蘇折才是男一號。最後將軍解除了誤會卻挽回不了女主的心，一直守護了女主很多年。這劇改得慘不忍睹，不然就別用原著的人名啊，都一起改了唄😂但演員顏值不錯。

I've read the comments and watched this drama and I'm a little disheartened with all of the negativity. If you understand how these dramas normally go and consider the mindset of tragedy, love tribulations and star-crossed lovers, like Romeo and Juliet, it's very similar. The ending was ALMOST tragic but quickly wrapped up and, in my opinion, wrapped up nicely.... better than others I have seen that were tragic or simply hinted at a possible happy ending. Also, considering that the general was led to believe the female lead had killed his father (reasoning for her being framed explained toward the end) if he didn't truly lover her he would have killed her, to avenge is father but this was as much to show his conflicting emotions toward her. So the second female lead was simply used as a foil. In these shows, there's always another female involved trying to deceive the male lead and it was very satisfying to see that she gained nothing in the end.
There are several actors/actresses I recognized in this drama and I was able to finally identify the male lead is Pan Zi Jian. He also played the main role in "Miraculous Detective in Jianghu" which I did enjoy. That mini-drama has similar issues as this one but has slightly better production. I really like him, he's a very good-looking young man and hope to see him in more lead roles in the future.
I greatly appreciated the strong female lead, who did not weaken at any point during this story... she stay strong and opinionated and followed HER heart. Frankly, I would have been greatly disappointed if this story had ended differently. The second female lead did a great job as well... I recognized her both as well but haven't yet identified them. Once I do, I'll come back and update my comment to include their names.

I thought this production was pretty well done (aside from audio, which seems to always be a problem). I'm just exhausted of storylines where ML constantly allows 2FL to get away with murder while constantly playing FL like a yoyo (come here, go away ad nauseum). Its boring and stupid.
I desperately want to see people making choices like choosing the one who treats you as precious, not the one who consistently hurts you.

Why can't Western views understand that fact. The series/movies you see where the women are so brave and resourceful and talented are in fact fantasies, even if they are not a Fantasy series.

Si es bien cierto que a cualquiera le duele que le maten a un ser querido, pagar con la misma moneda no los revive y al final aunque logre tu preciada venganza siempre quedará el vacío y como dice el dicho el que lo hace la primera lo vuelve a hacer, tendrá que tener un arrepentimiento genuino para no dejarse llevar por sus emociones
En el drama fue mas el maltrato y la humillación que le dió a la princesa que demostrarle su amor, nunca fue capaz de escucharla ni siquiera de tomarse un segundo para investigar la verdad, los hechos hablaban por si mismo y sus ojos no lo podían ver.

I liked how the fl was strong willed and never backed down. I don’t feel like she should have ended up with the general at all towards the end. His decision to help the concubine all throughout the drama and have her cling onto him and believe a lot of things that she was saying made me dislike him even more. The fl did play tit for tat and she hung onto the 2ml. Her actions were funny to me because she hung around the 2ml more than the husband. 😂 Honestly the General husband is to blame for everything from start to the end. He never believed his wife and only towards the end he finds out that the concubine and her brother plotted against him. I would have loved to see the fl end up with the 2ml or have a better ending where the general pays the price for his actions.

The SML is nasty, no 3rd party should interfere in a marriage, no matter the circumstances. 😮Personally I like the General, not the predator. I read a lot of comments and they mostly say the ML doesn't deserve the FL and I have to admit that in this case, it is so true. It was always the 2nd ML who was there for the FL. There was no point in time when the ML and the FL laughed together or enjoyed being in each other's company. They were always quarrelling or had some kind of misunderstanding between them. The ML was an absolute douche to his wife. He doesn't deserve the happy ending her got.

我習慣是一邊看劇一邊看評論的，如果不是男帥女美，真的有三回想棄劇了。男主男二都很帥，但感覺男主的裝容有些不太自然的，可能他有點西方臉，演古裝不太合適，反之男二就是妥妥的古裝帥哥。女主和女二都很美，女主美的比較自然，女二樣子更美，但很像動漫卡通人物，不會是整容臉吧。演技方面女主和男二比較自然，男主其實演技不錯，但角色的性格太內斂和有些茅盾，不太好演，女二則稍為誇張小許。這劇都走不出短劇定律：男主虐、女主弱、男二備胎、女二綠茶，誤會加誤會。男女主由頭到尾段都互虐，兩人都未嘗坦白相處，祇讓誤會加深，最終兩人分手，這是兩人種下的惡果，怪不得誰，如任何一方能理智些或坦承一些，相信事情不會走到這步，女二的狡計亦未必得逞。全劇最可惜的是男二，一味的付出，甚至是捱了刀子，還不能得到女主的青睞，真是萬年備胎，孤獨終老。但這不符合短劇定律，捱刀子便能得女主的心。劇情未能達大多數人的心願，但我覺得如果結尾稍微長些，讓男女主角有些時間解釋和調節一下情緒才復合會更好一點。
