Can confirm. I watched my husband die in September from end stage liver disease from his severe alcoholism. He had dementia, he was in severe pain and could do nothing for himself. He would rage out and be amazingly angry over nothing. He was an danger to himself and others. And it was not quick. It was traumatizing to watch.

It's not like the dad can do much if Josh does not want to live in a group home/assisted. He is a functioning enough adult, has held down a job in the past etc. so his IQ or such is not a valid reason to make him move. Assisted living is not cheap and there are very little places available.

I fought in the Korean war with Puff. He was the best damn marksman in the platoon, saved my life on many occasions. He killed 18 soldiers with only a bent spoon. What a shame to see how our veterans are treated these days.

I can remember a time the ole Puffers (that's what some of us called him then) once took an entire platoon and shoved the bullets into them with his stained and battle-hardened hands, one by one. Never met Puff, but my corn snake served with Puff in WW2. They were both on USS Washington when it sank IJN Kirishima during the battle of Guadalcanal, they were like siblings. Eventually, Puff transferred to the army, where he stormed the beaches of Normandy, while my corn snake stayed with the navy and fought in the battle of Leyte Gulf. She has been completely distraught by Puff's "disappearance", they stayed in contact until Josh adopted him, they were as close as could be.
I’m a professional mead maker and certified beekeeper. I know of mead that uses lactose (I haven’t made it myself. I’m lactose intolerant). And there is melomel which is mead made with fruits in the fermentation process, and there’s also capsicumel, which is mead with hot peppers added to the fermentation. The big thing in all of this is that they have to be fresh. The jarred jalapeños are pickled and that’s a whole separate fermentation process that WILL DESTROY THE WINE YEAST. Then with the fruit, you want to cut it thin or even crush it. And it’s easy to mess up at any point and the yeast goes to fungus. Watching cobes make his “mead” is like getting hit in the back of the ankles with a shopping cart

The sheer amount of fat matched with the density of liquor (fermentable medium) along with cool temperatures just meant he was drinking yeasty choco prison drank. My Aunt is an alcoholic luckily she hasn’t been drinking lately but she is totally allergic to alcohol so when she drinks and goes to sleep she screams all night. I asked her once why the f she was doing that and she told me she feels like she is falling and she can’t get up unless she yells. It’s insane to listen to, it’s actually scary because it catches you off guard and makes you jump out of your skin. I drove home all the way from Philly to Boston once with her doing it in the back seat over and over the whole ride, it kept scaring the crap out of me and almost making me crash. In Philly she relapsed and took off on me, I found her in an ally next to a liquor store drinking with bums.

My ball python (first ever reptile and personal pet as well) escaped because I forget to latch 1 of the 4 sides of her enclosure, and I literally lost sleep over it. She turned up 2 days later basically right next to her tank, thank god. No clue how she hid so well. I tore apart my entire room and house, checked every single piece of furniture, turned stuff like dressers upside down, removed all the drawers, and looked inside with flashlights. I used my phone tied to a stick like an endoscope/borescope to look into tight spaces I couldn't see or reach. I put tin foil and plastic bags on the floor along the walls so I could hear if she slithered, and put flour in the doorways so I could see if she slithered under any doors. I also went and bought a live mouse to try and lure her out, plus some heat pads and handwarmers to sit out in the hopes she'd be attracted to the heat. I also got a new enclosure with only one front opening latched door, so I couldn't make the same mistake again, and got it ready for when I found her. 2 days later I was up at 3am thinking she was gone or dead and it was all my fault, and suddenly she just slithers out of my book shelf and stares at me like, "Oh hey, did you need something?" I was so fucking happy, I immediately took a video and sent it to everyone who knew I lost her. Taking reptiles outside is risky. I'd never do it with something fast like a bearded dragon. Sometimes I let my ball python slither around the grass or on a tree stump that is shorter than me (so she can't climb out of reach) , but I'm always so close to her that I can use my hands to guide her away from places I don't want her to go, or grab her if need be. And I don't do it often.

I got really depressed in my twenties, stopped looking after myself and got myself a case of acute necrotising gingivitis and let. Me. Tell. Y'all.... One of the worst things I've been through getting that sorted. Luckily it is fixable, and I've been taking care of my teeth since then and it could have been a lot worse. But brush your teeth if you can guys 🙏 dental problems are horrid, painful, expensive and in the case of trench mouth, pretty low key traumatising.

These are typically caused by a more serious neurological condition and judging by his reaction to it, or lack thereof, he either didn’t even realize it, or this wasn’t the first time. First off, I've owned bearded dragons and the thought of one getting out of the house on its own is insane to me, on top of the idea that it would somehow find its way home like a dog or a cat is even more insane to me.
The bog is down hard, his tooth has chipped which has given him a sense of reality that he can't cope with, the drinking is wild, the duster use is through the roof, his sugar intake from the mead is insane, puff has gone and to top it off it's Christmas time. Another meltdown is imminent.
I remember getting in and out of the stream, but surprisingly came back on the best parts: -The second spill -The fall -The last police visit And it was worth it! The big thing in all of this is that they have to be fresh. The jarred jalapeños are pickled and that’s a whole separate fermentation process that WILL DESTROY THE WINE YEAST. Then with the fruit, you want to cut it thin or even crush it. And it’s easy to mess up at any point and the yeast goes to fungus. My Aunt is an alcoholic luckily she hasn’t been drinking lately but she is totally allergic to alcohol so when she drinks and goes to sleep she screams all night. I asked her once why the f she was doing that and she told me she feels like she is falling and she can’t get up unless she yells. It’s insane to listen to, it’s actually scary because it catches you off guard and makes you jump out of your skin. I drove home all the way from Philly to Boston once with her doing it in the back seat over and over the whole ride, it kept scaring the crap out of me and almost making me crash. In Philly she relapsed and took off on me, I found her in an ally next to a liquor store drinking with bums.

My ball python (first ever reptile and personal pet as well) escaped because I forget to latch 1 of the 4 sides of her enclosure, and I literally lost sleep over it. She turned up 2 days later basically right next to her tank, thank god. No clue how she hid so well.
I tore apart my entire room and house, checked every single piece of furniture, turned stuff like dressers upside down, removed all the drawers, and looked inside with flashlights. I used my phone tied to a stick like an endoscope/borescope to look into tight spaces I couldn't see or reach. I put tin foil and plastic bags on the floor along the walls so I could hear if she slithered, and put flour in the doorways so I could see if she slithered under any doors. I also went and bought a live mouse to try and lure her out, plus some heat pads and handwarmers to sit out in the hopes she'd be attracted to the heat. I also got a new enclosure with only one front opening latched door, so I couldn't make the same mistake again, and got it ready for when I found her.
2 days later I was up at 3am thinking she was gone or dead and it was all my fault, and suddenly she just slithers out of my book shelf and stares at me like, "Oh hey, did you need something?" I was so fucking happy, I immediately took a video and sent it to everyone who knew I lost her.
Taking reptiles outside is risky. I'd never do it with something fast like a bearded dragon. Sometimes I let my ball python slither around the grass or on a tree stump that is shorter than me (so she can't climb out of reach) , but I'm always so close to her that I can use my hands to guide her away from places I don't want her to go, or grab her if need be. And I don't do it often.

Those tremors are 100% from huffing, I'm an alcoholic and the tremors from them are like MS or Parkinsons and they don't go away until you drink. His infrequent, rapid jerks or a few seconds of shaking like in the clip, I did and saw a lot of drug use and I've seen people pretty much have seizures but they remain somewhat lucid from just doing whip-its.

First off, I've owned bearded dragons and the thought of one getting out of the house on its own is insane to me, on top of the idea that it would somehow find its way home like a dog or a cat is even more insane to me.

The bog is down hard, his tooth has chipped which has given him a sense of reality that he can't cope with, the drinking is wild, the duster use is through the roof, his sugar intake from the mead is insane, puff has gone and to top it off it's Christmas time. Another meltdown is imminent.
