So awesome that you took the bus to a lot of places. I was on O'ahu in July 22 and decided not to rent a car. I loved how I was able to just chill (let someone else do the driving!) and get around on the bus to various areas. I'm in the process of planning another car-free trip back to the island. Thanks for watching! Yes, we took the bus everywhere - Pearl Harbor, Manoa Falls, north shore, etc. - and it was easy and inexpensive. Picking up and recharging a Holo card at any ABC store was also easy. We highly recommend for visitors, especially knowing how costly a car rental can be. Thanks again!

Wow , you guys nailed it ! Your channel popped up this morning, I’m researching for my holiday there next year in May. It is interesting that you jumped on a bus to the North Shore and Manoa Falls , I’m planning to hire a car for a couple days to divide the island into two with the car but our holiday will be 14 days. I know we will have spare days so a bus ride to Manoa Falls back to Haleiwa wouldn’t be out of the question. We could enjoy the landscape more on a bus and no hassles of parking. How long was the bus ride to the NorthShore area and Manoa Falls ? As I understand it , the bus stops a little distance from Manoa Falls , time wise from the bus stop the start of the falls , how long is that part ? I love your Cocktail Tour (self guided Lol) I’m putting them places on my list - ever growing list 🤣 And food trucks , yes , food trucks ! We can’t wait to get there and your video has helped ! Hi Rod!! Wow, thank you so much! So happy you enjoyed the video. Super exciting that you’ll have two weeks on the island in May. That is amazing! Yes, taking the bus worked great for us. We loved not having to worry about parking and we found the bus system to be awesome! From Waikiki to the North Shore (Haleiwa) the bus was a little over two hours with one transfer. From Waikiki to Manoa falls it’s a little over 45 min and we had to take one transfer on that trip as well. Super easy though! And then from the bus stop at Manoa Falls it’s about a 10 min walk to the start of the hike! Happy planning! We have some more Hawaii videos coming out soon as well. Have a great night! 😁
Cool , thanks 🤙 Originally we had planned for a full on 7 day holiday by staying 3 days in fancy hotel on the water and 4 days in average hotel. But then my wifey said , we could stay longer in the average hotel (12 days) for the same money. Then I did more searching and found a studio in the Pacific Monarch (still central to Waikiki) that actually cost a bit less for 14 days.
Long long ago there used to be a Korean bar. I think it was on lewers street next to kapiolani blvd. maybe it was Arirang. You could buy one or two beers and a hostess a drink and you would get a whole bunch of pupus. The wahine would make you feel special too.
