Jin Ling hated the uncle that wanted so badly to see him, wanted so badly to help raise him. And all the while loving and admiring the uncle who had led his parents to their deaths.
I think this is where both Jin Ling and Jiang Cheng realized they had hated the wrong person all this time.
And Jin Ling, who refused to be treated as a child, in this moment, reverts to that. At the end of the day, he is simply a child who had been through so much since he was a baby.
I also love how Wei Ying catches Jin Ling as he falls on his knees, and instead of pushing Wei Ying away like he usually does, he accepts the help. This further shows that Jin Ling has really come to terms that this is not Wei Wuxian’s fault, that this uncle trying to comfort him is the one he needs right now-not Jiang Cheng and definitely not Jin Guangyao.

Poor Jin Ling. This has got to be one of the worst days of his life.
And Guangyao… he DID have a choice. He just refused to admit there was one. If he didn’t try so hard to please his terrible father, he could’ve found a way to be respected.
I agree. He had multiple choices and chances to do right. He just chose the options that most benefit him and didn’t care who else suffered from it.
This entire scene in the book was sooooooo much better since in the end, Meng Yao died where it all began for him and DaGe will forever guard his corpse. Poetic justice 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This isn't said enough but JGY's actor did an AMAZING job in the temple episodes. His psychotic behaviour mixed in with sadness and anger was done so well that I almost had empathy for him
It’s always the actors who play psychopaths that stay in our mind because of how well they did it. Willem DeFoe is a perfect example. 🙂

Well, his own family treated him like crap. But that still wasn't an excuse to go on a murderous rampage and kill people who had nothing to do with his personal traumas. Nie MingJue died because he saw through Meng Yao's fake kindness and all the bs he pulled. Him becoming the ruler over the clans was planned for a long time. He abused his power to do so much evil. At least the Wens were open about how they wanted to lead and crush the other clans. Meng Yao was worse than Wen Ruohan in my opinion. He could have simply left and try to forgive his dad and the others who bullied him. He truly was a beast.

Zhu Zanjin did an incredible job with the role of JGY. Great respect! The way he played JGY manipulating WWX and JC about their roles in the post-war period at the GuanYin Temple, hitting at their weak point was masterful.
Everytime i rewatch the temple episode, i make sure to not pay attention to jgy's face, i fear that if i look at him, i might be convinced that it was just the situation and he isnt that evil. The actor who played jgy 👏👏👏

Guangyao es unos de los personajes que más odie pero al mismo tiempo amé. Es un villano muy bien presentado con el cual te es fácil empatizar pero al mismo tiempo sentir ese rechazó por sus malas decisiones, es un gran personaje y su actor es demasiado talentoso, supo traernos con su rostro inocente un ser despiadado capaz de cumplir su venganza, de expresar su dolor y locura, es perfecto. Amo "the untamed" (Mo dao su zhi), es una gran historia ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💜
Indeed whatever he did is perfectly alright but why he blamed Wei Ying . JGY could have joined hands with Wei ying to protest against his father . His dad was the culprit not his brother
But JGY , there were many who could have shown sympathy and love of kindness and empathy towards you if you had revealed your feelings to them . Like your sister win su , your mother , second brother xichen , even it could have been Wei ying who could have loved you if you hadn't done these evil things . If Wei ying then offcourse lan zhan too with some more

I feel bad for 💛🏹Jin Ling💛🏹 because he had to find out that Jin Guangyao and Su She taking control of 💚Wen Ning💚 is the reason why his father 💛🦚Jin Zixuan💛🦚 is dead.
On a lighter note at least 💛🏹Jin Ling💛🏹 knows the truth now.
