Pity about the crowds but it's something we all encounter at times, always good to have a plan b. Still it's always nice to be out in such a beautiful place and the pack raft at the end is the bonus.

Reefton rivers do get really busy saw 3 anglers following each other up the same section few weeks back.

Always worth remembering there are 4 sides of a river. Upstream left, Upstream right , Downstream left, downstream right. If the river is large enough there are often still opportunities.
