That’s definitely a piece of history can’t believe it’s still standing. Shows the difference in buildings from yesteryear to today.
Arnold Prewitt It closed 50 years ago and now there's only some walls left. Also it's just from 1930's. I live in a house from 1920's. Really not that old at all. I guess in Murica it is considered old

It's out in BFE. If it was closer to a town, sadly, it would be in worse shape.
Considering the year that it burned, it may have been set fire to in protest of desegregation. Especially in the south.

Very beautiful area, it almost looks like the old school is struggling to stay alive. Nothing like looking through these old buildings.

Nature is taking it’s area back! I have always wanted to get into urban exploration but have been afraid of going somewhere that I would get in trouble for. I was recommended by CZcams and am glad they sent it. I am now subscribed to your channel! Great video 👍

Strange place for a school out there in the wilderness.
What I noticed most is , people in that area seem to respect other peoples property . No signs of spray paint that I noticed . Thanks for posting .

I live not far from the old school I have a friend that lives very close. Rhymes grocery store was at the crossroads closed down after the owner killed some robbers with a shotgun. The old store is gone now and people use it as a parking lot.
It’s a shame todays structures aren’t made with the quality materials as they once was like in the time this school was built 😢

This building reminds me a lot of Ha Ha Tonka in Missouri near lake of the ozarks! It would be great to see a video of there, one of my favorite places!

There's one other video on it from a guy called, deadlyknot. He says the Rhymes high school was built in 1936... but this is a cool video always curious when you see these broken down abandoned places..😕😕🤔🤔

I found it on the internet. It was built for white students in 1931 and in 1949 it was turned into a school for black students. It shows a picture of how it looked. Very interesting.
