    This video covers the NEW 2019 D’Lite and the D’Lite X as they are essentially the same trailer. The D’Lite X has a few minor upgrades that we will mention throughout the video. The biggest difference is that the X only comes as a double trailer, and its seats reline independently, rather than in unison.
    And to read the full review of each trailer check them out here: Burley D'Lite www.twowheelingtots.com/burle... and Burley D'Lite X www.twowheelingtots.com/burle...

    Never normally comment on reviews, but this is one of the slickest, best edited reviews I've seen... All the facts, presented quickly and clearly. Kudos for such a succinct video that somehow crams in everything I wanted to know about this product!!

    I was too busy watching the two cute kids fight over the popcorn and other naughty antics to focus much on the video, they are so sweet! Bet you can rent them out for a dose of cuteness!
    The video was excellent. I am hard to please on reviews. You did not disappoint. Covered full functionality on this stroller, compared both, and pointed out the unique features. Bravo! Very well done. I suspect you are a mom of two. Instead of being stuck in the house raising two high energy little beans, you created an excellent channel to review everything you have a need for as a parent. This is so useful to others.
    I need to buy a bike trailer for my two little doggos - rescued senior dogs who tire after 1-2 miles of walking, both very small with pre-existing issues and blindness. I cannot take them hiking due to blindness but they would love to be out in the bike trailer with me, enjoying the sunshine while lolling around on their blankies. I looked at the Burley Tail Wagon at $400, and the Bee at $300, and frankly, this trailer is so much better than any of them.
    Features I like a lot:
    Folds down flat, has suspension springs for comfort over bumps, huge rear luggage section, 600 denier polyester tough fabric (also fade resistant), included handlebar which folds down compactly, included single stroller wheel that stays attached to bike bar for immediate use anytime, UV windows for zero sun glare and overly heated cabin, full rain flap, sturdy build, removable floor, removable foot rest pouch, adjustable recliner seats, rear brake, quick pop off wheels, and multi use attachment options for skis, running, beach, etc. Quite a remarkable invention frankly, very impressive. I work with engineers in IT and love to analyze things for functionality and durability, and this is a well made machine. The only issue is price, so one must find a used version that does not break the bank. Thanks for a great review!

    Thank you very much for your great reviews. I'm thinking which one's better between d'lite and d'lite x. It seems like both of them have mesh for ventilation in the rear window. So the main difference Kids really like independent recline seats? I like easy storage of d'lite but I like also prefer minor upgrades of d'lite x, floor mat which I need to buy separately. Are there more minor differences? Is seat fabric quality different? Which one do you recommend? Best for kids, d'lite x? or d'lite for parents? D'lite is model out now but still I can buy in the market and they have small price difference. Thank you very much.

      @@Twowheelingtotsbikes Yeah. Im sure the jogging attachment is "best", but I think I saw in the video that you ran with it, with only the stroller front wheel. Im between the D'Lite and Chariot Lite. Just wanted your opinion on those, if you can. Thanks.

    Great review. How reclined is the seats in the Burley Encore X, would it be OK for children to sleep or would the angle be too steep and their heads would lull forward? Thanks

    • @Twowheelingtotsbikes
      @Twowheelingtotsbikes  Před 2 lety

      The most reclined position is not very reclined compared to the Thule Cross, Qeridoo Kidgoo, or Hamax Outback. We actually use the reclined position as our normal everyday position. Kids will sleep anyways if they are tired, but there head is much more likely to roll forward in a Burley.

    How's the reliability of the lock mechanism on the handlebar when in stroller/jogger mode- navigating bumpy sidewalks, curbs, etc.? Reviews published elsewhere have made me hesitant to splurge on the D'lite due to this issue..

    • @Twowheelingtotsbikes
      @Twowheelingtotsbikes  Před 4 lety +3

      Hye Ayako - yes this was actually one of my primary concerns as well. I've had this problem with several Burley trailer/strollers. However, on this last D'Lite I reviewed, it was more of a problem than usual so I contacted the Burley team. They explained to me how to tighten the knob on the side so that the handlebar stays in place. It was a fast fix and I haven't had the issue since. In my opinion the handlebars should come tightened more than they do, but luckily it's easy to resolve!

  • @Habek786
    @Habek786 Před 3 lety +1

    D'lite X vs Hamax Outback - Bike trailer only. Will not be using as a jogger and will never have to go through door ways. Also pulling with an e-bike. Thoughts?

    • @Twowheelingtotsbikes
      @Twowheelingtotsbikes  Před 3 lety

      If you’re pulling with an ebike, the extra weight of the Hamax won’t be as much of an issue either.
      The biggest difference will then be the recline. Hamax reclines waaaay more than the Burley.
      Also, the Hamax completely seals on the front, so if your child will try to chuck things out of the trailer, that’s also an advantage.

    Can the jogger wheel stay on while it’s used as bike trailer? Can the two wheel stroller set up stay on? Thanks!

    • @Twowheelingtotsbikes
      @Twowheelingtotsbikes  Před rokem

      You would need to take both of those off to use the trailer. The single wheel stays on, but is folded up and out of the way.

  • @kristytaylor8462

    Hi there, have you used the trailer in stroller mode on sand? I don't know if it is worth buying the plus size wheels for a visit to the beach?

    • @Twowheelingtotsbikes
      @Twowheelingtotsbikes  Před 2 lety

      I have not actually used this as a stroller in the sand. I think your bigger problem would probably be the front wheel, which would be helped by the larger jogger wheel. Not sure if it merits the extra cost for the amount of time you'll be at the beach though...?

  • @ginettemethot3390
    @ginettemethot3390 Před 3 lety

    We want to purchase the D'Lite (not x for better storage), but the one thing that makes us hesitate is a review on Amazon that says the ventilation is poor and her kiddos were sweating even in the shade. Granted it sounds like she was only walking around for hours in Disneyland and not bike riding, but I'm curious what your take on this is?

    • @Twowheelingtotsbikes
      @Twowheelingtotsbikes  Před 3 lety

      I don't know if she's ever used another bike trailer, but I wouldn't say that is true? It's clearly more enclosed on the sides than a standard stroller, but I wouldn't think that would cause her kids to sweat? I only have one standard stroller (Graco), and there is absolutely no ventilation on the back. The D'Lite does have some mesh backing to help with ventilation. So bottom line, without talking to that mom to understand what was going on, and can't say she's wrong, but this has not been our experience. I wouldn't let that review sway your decision.

      Buy it used dear lady. Its outrageously expensive. However... consider this...
      resale is high, it has suspension springs (red springs) which takes all the jolt out of bumps for the kiddos, it has a huge cargo space for shopping while hauling kids on your bike, it has incredible versatility with ski attachments and multiple wheel choices for stroller mode, it has adjustable recliners, UV glare protection on sides and front (sun damages kid's eyes) and comes with a stroller kit included. Also, the stroller wheel is always on the bike bar. If you take your electric bike and kids to go shopping, you can easily transition into stroller mode (and shorten the bike bar - unique feature) and take the stroller into the store - no need to load and unload into a shopping cart. Stick a folding crate into the luggage section, unfold it and stick it on top of trailer while shopping then put everything back into the luggage compartment to ride back home. Groceries done with minimum fuss.
