Though born in Mangalore and stayed for 7 years, I cherish Udupi for spending first 5 years of my childhood, then 6 years at MANIPAL doing my Engg & M Tech. Now after 22.5 years of Bangalore I am. Bored. Soon I will retire prematurely and settle back to Udipi. Missing Krishna Matha a lot. .🙂🙂🙂

As per the owner of the Restaurant where you are, It's called Disco fish because the fish's eye reflects light like a disco light in the water...Hence it's called Disco fish.
This was said in one of the episodes of Food Lovers TV(CZcams Channel) when he tried out the dishes in same restaurant.

Finned Bullseye is Disco fish in Kannada and Telugu. The fish is red in color with goggle like eyes. Maybe name comes from these looks. 👍
